30xx Series Founders Edition

I asked this with the 3090... Is there a use case for the 3090ti? As in a scenario where actually it is a much better card than the 3090 which people will see a tangible benefit in?

No. The 3090 for a very small number will be attractive for its large quantity of VRAM but the 3090Ti is just a slightly quicker 3090.

Noticed they are accepting PayPal they didn't for the past drops , probably because it was easier to get around the 1 pc policy ? The next day delivery has gone down as well

Maybe let it slip for this hard to shift now

Yep, the couple of 3090 drops had stock for a lot longer than 2 hours.

When BB (exclusive seller in the USA for this card) did their very first 3090 FE drop (October 9th 2020 IIRC--that's when I got my card on a discord notification), the 3090 FE's were in stock for over 30 minutes. The 3080 FE's didn't last as long, I think it was 10-15 minutes, not sure exactly, it was awhile ago after all...
That was back when everyone kept spamming how "3090 FE's were not for gaming". Yet months later, anyone who got a 3090 FE at MSRP for gaming only back then were laughing their arses off, felt like they won the lottery, compared to what was happening with stock and prices...

A 10% performance gain over the 3090 equates to an extra half day of production per week.

It's not even 10% in work based apps with cuda sadly. Some actually see no difference from a 3090. Depends on app really, but from some cuda based app reviews its showing hardly anything and thats with oc model 3090ti's vs 3090 FE, so 3090 FE's oc-ed are basically same or AIB 3090s with higher power limits.

@ 2 min 31 secs or just click link below to take you to it.

sure and at 2k per card + added energy costs you best make sure its making bank from that extra time

Better to buy 2 x 3090s for work than a single 3090Ti.. save a lot more time and make up the money quicker and able to pool the 24GB into a 48GB bank with NVLINK. Win win.. £2800 (2 x 3090) vs £1880 (3090Ti) so second card works out as £920 or £1000 with the NVLINK bridge (£80).. this is FE prices.

I'm limiting myself to 300W for next gen as anything more will just be uncomfortably sweaty. I just can't imagine running one of these in the standard UK home.

My 3060Ti was on PP but noticed on drops since then it had been removed as an option.

Anyone bought an aftermarket power cable for the 30 series?

I've managed to break the little locking tab off of mine when rebuilding the case a few times, also managed the same on the cable for my old 3060Ti and only took that out 2/3 times, they're proper flimsy..
