30xx Series Founders Edition

TBH Nvidia could have been dropping 3080FE's for a while now, but instead they started dropping newer versions of the GA102, bit more RAM, new more cores, huge price jump, that's not scalpers or miners fault, that's nvidia trying to profiteer from the sector..

People can roll the dice, buy a 2nd hand RTX 3080. I reckon the LHR cards will be a better bet, due to being released later and they are less likely to have been worn out by mining.

Depends on the cost of the second hand card, prices still arent great so you might be better off buying new and then getting the warranty etc.
I've yet to see any direct tests between the 3080FE and the 3080FE LHR, what else could/does the LHR side of things effect..

3080FE LHR doesn't exist

I've actually had 3080 that was used for mining for around 1 year did benchmarks /temps noted them down

After re did the benchmarks and it's exactly the same with scores and temps hasn't had any effect

I would hope people who mined looked after them by using optimized settings and in good ambient environment

With stock being available the next day (when did that last happen) the old economics of used cards should be valid now.

Its been used so therefore its cheaper than a new one!

I'm sure I saw someone on here with a newer 3080FE that was showing as LHR in GPU-Z, might have been Hexus...

I wasnt on about damaging them via mining, I was on about a 3080 vs an LHR 3080 to see what other stuff the LHR side of things breaks..

Amazing to see it still in stock. Should I shouldn't I....
Option one, do it! YOLO. Never wait get what you want when you want.

Option two, don't do it! You will regret it later this year when the same money could have got you a lot more performance. Not to mention something new and shiny.

Take you pick :D

Don't suppose CEX would let me take back my EVGA RTX 3080 now, it's been 4 days since I received it...

C'est la vie.

Seems like the market is (finally) improving though, looking on the bright side.

I really thought we wouldn't see any more RTX 3080 FEs, after waiting for months.

i've seen 3090 FEs going for £620 on ebay...bought from UK shipping from China!! Not dodgy at all! prices do seem to be coming down very quickly though. Glad I got a 3080FE and not some £100 monster

Return it and grab a FE card!

You have 14 days to return an online purchase even from said retailer. You can go into any store and return it. Return it and get the new 3080.
