I found the same with EVGA precision X1. Funnily you can control the colour of the backplate LED with PX1 and the brightness of the FE LEDs.

Seems like a bodge up to me on the free codes. Might be worth reporting back to NV that their UK FE retailer isn't playing ball 
. **** are just fulfilling orders on behalf of NV in this case so if NV says everyone gets one, that stands.

Are these likely to come in stock this week? Anyone know if it's random or towards end of the week?
Last few weeks at least seems to have been once a week thus far so imagine may be similar this time. No specific day per say, been pretty much any day thus far once a week (apart from Monday I believe)

Had a feeling your would upgrade in the end. At least you will have a decent RTX card now, relatively speaking
£649 for a 3080 which is probably about the same or cheaper than the 2080 you got and half the price of a 2080Ti with better performance = So glad I skipped Turding

Upgrading every year is a sure fire way to flush money away. I only ever upgrade when there is a proper jump in performance to be had.

. I wasn't too sure whether to bother as time went by. I'm not even gaming much atm although have picked it back up a bit recently. At least I failed at getting a 3090 a while back as that'd been a waste for me and last time I didn't even bother trying to buy one of those when they were in stock, so a bit lucky last week with the 80. Hopefully get back into gaming and have more time soon.It's cheaper than the 2080. I was an early bird and got one for a deal price of £749 :
I think. I need something better for an old 6700K system as that's now connected to a 4K TV (onboard/mobo doesnt support 4k) so will keep the 2080 too. Might try to get the LED's sorted however

Set My custom fan curve now,
Hitting a nice cool 65c under load,
Bf5 with all the bells and whistles on, rtx etc running nice and smooth,
Yesterday before setting custom fan curve with the same settings i was hitting 80c underload, i was dropping performance (unplayable stutter) which suggests thermal throttling i believe ?
All sorted now though

Supply and demand. It's probably working out even better for OCUK. People are cancelling original orders at the cheaper prices as they find alternatives or FE supply. Allows them to raise the price further for those joining the queue late.
Yeah I cancelled my order as I've got a 3070 FE. Just crazy how the cheaper models are now £80+ more than the FE (only 2 are below £560). Big price difference for not much more performance than the FE.
