How aggressive is your fan curve ? Getting my 3080 FE delivered today and a bit of noise doesn’t bother me due to only using a headset. Would rather have cool temps !
This is nice to see you can get such low temps by just setting a fan curve !
Very odd you had stutters and it should thermal throttle much at 80, and even if it did, it shouldn’t cause stutters.

When the card hits 40c fan is at 50%,
Next node is 80% at 60c,
100% fan at 90c, that it should never hit
Dont get me wrong I could tinker more, but I'm happy with that, similar to yourself I play with a head set, and my cpu fan is still making the most noise,

I had a 980ti and followed a 1:1 curve. It still got hot and loud. So anything better is a win for me !
What happens below 40 ? I’m guessing the fan stays on but very low ?
I’ll probably try 40:40, 50,50, 60:60 and so on. If I stay 70ish or below I’m happy.

first node is 40%/20c
Idle temp is around 37c
If i get bored on day i may tinker some more, but main concern was getting it lower than 80c and i dont care about noise lol,
The other guy got his to 65c with fan curve, so i went with that as a target,
I could probably lower that 80% node to 70% might get the same results

yep just had a try and queue position 99. If I hear anything I’ll post it here.
 
You guys doing any benchmarks?

I have been doing a bunch bit by bit and will be submitting them soon.

Have done the following (all 4K):

FireStrike Ultra
Superposition
Heaven 4
Final Fantasy 15
Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Tomb Raider

Will be doing more some RTX ones next :)

What kind of OC do you get out of the 3080 FE?
