Sounds like they have possibly changed the 'shuffle' icon?

Only guessing as dont have access to a 360 right now.

Native resolution DVD playback with the VGA cable is very nice to see.

Even with 1280x720 selected in the dashboard, the DVD output would be 480p. Resulting image for me was very pixelated and poor.

Great to see its been fixed. :)

Yep, the dashboard seems smoother to navigate & all the marketplace goodies have been reorganised into much better categories like demos, movies etc instead of everything under the name of the game

A few of you have mentioned the native VGA playback for the DVD player.
Can someone explain what this means as I haven't used a VGA cable so don't know what issues you were having. Presumeably it isn't upscaling the picture to 720 lines?

The other question is about the USB keyboard support. Can it work with a wireless USB keyboard and if so any particular ones, I guess I'd want it to work with the media center keyboard at some point.

Pretty much it.

VGA owners have the ability to choose from various output resolutions:

640x480
848x480
1024x768
1280x720
1280x768
1280x1024
1360x768

While games would be scaled perfectly to the selected resolution, DVD playback would remain at 640x480 regardless. In my case the picture quality was terrible and there were jaggies everywhere, due to a 640x480 signal being displayed on a 1680x1050 native resolution display.

Brilliant update, again proving why Live and the 360 interface is so damn good! Love some of the new features, especially the DVD bookmarking and the VGA DVD problem is fixed!

EDIT: Also noticed it now says "Pal - 60" under "Display" when using the VGA cable, it never used to say this before.

Mine's all updated and my download queue is full :) Wish they'd added the option to shut the machine down if the machine was idle when transfers completed though :(

again proving why LIVE is such a good idea, can you imagine what the dash will be like in a few updates time, pretty much flawless, only thing i want now is different themes instead of blades, maybe have the concept designs they showed awhile back

Oooh that is great news. I might have to invest in a VGA cable now as my TV is 1280x 720 (I think from memory).

First thing I noticed after downloading the update is the colours/tones on the dashboard looked a lot deeper and clearer. So I'm guessing they must have tweaked VGA output.

DVDs also play nice now.

But if you're already running it via component you already have got the best out of it...the VGA cable isn't going to improve it any....or is it? I just got myself a component cable yesterday for my new spangly 32" LCD and i've no complaints about the DVD playback.
