It's either that or end up hugely polarised.
Look at how the Chinese are causing trouble to the USA and vice versa. We get off relatively lightly.
We're going to have to choose a side at some point.
To be fair there is actually a psychological thing going on here, pretty much impossible to decode from without seriously making an effort to distinguish people.
all of them had Chinese passports to get smuggled/trafficked through easier. This girl basically left her identifying information and place she was born in because she knew she wouldn’t live.
However, lots of the times Vietnamese people who get trafficked through China get false Chinese passports, so there's confusion.

How is it racist to say if somone is french or British? Isn't all of Europe white originally?
Describing all the guys as Asian, or as a lot of people say "Chinese" in London anyway ....... With nearly 3.5 BN Chinese people it's a 50/50 chance they hold a Chinese passport ;p

Older generations would describe a black guy as being African.
Would "of Asian decent" be less offensive?

Maybe they got another extension, I know people who have worked in the Police force they have told me that in order to extend questioning someone they must provide evidence of some sort else it will be rejected.
So they must have something on him

He could be cooperating for a more favourable sentence.
Unfortunately people can be easily duped and (as they say) you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Only recently certain sections of the UK media (and indeed population) were calling for independent judges to be replaced by political appointments because they dared (based on a robust and unbiased assessment of the case) to rule against the blatantly dodgy actions of the UK government.
