3d Mark 06 scores thread

Ok bit of tweaking and got a bit more.

New score=6095

SM2.0=3261
HDR/SM3.0=3185
CPU=1024

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=43903

Skt 754 A64 3700+ @2.750ghz (11x250) On air.
1gb Crucial value pc3200@250mhz@3-3-3-5 1T (1:1) 2.8v
Epox EP-8NPA SLi
2 x BFG 7800GT OC @ 495/1.22 in SLI.

It's harder to get any significant jump in 06 than it was in 05. I really don't think i will be able to get any more out of my rig.

Won't stop me trying though. :D

I got a score of 2306 on a 3500+, 6800GS, 1gig dual DDR value select ram, SLI-premium board all at stock speeds, Is that score about right or does it seem a bit low to you?

I'm confused, im seeing people with 6600's & Athlon Xp's get nearly double the score of mine? Am i missing something here? :confused:

AMD Opteron 146 @ stock
1.5GB Geil Value RAM
Galaxy Glacier Geforce 6800 128mb @ 400/820

128Mb of video ram is probably letting u down. Also anyone without sm3, i.e. x800gto2's will get low scores which wont be reflected in games. The test is biased toward the 6600 series onward for sm3 support, which really Im not missing. I can run half life lost cost with HDR, so sm3 isnt essential.

I got almost 2000 on my 6800 NU at similar clocks... make sure everything is set to performance, no AA/AF etc.

Oh, and why do you have a 146 @ stock?! :eek: I'll swap my 3200+£20 for it so it doesnt go to waste :)

Ahh, didnt think about setting to performance. Updated drivers also (82.65) although i've heard their not the newest il give them a try anyway see what i get.

Also, its at stock because i dont know how to overclock it yet :p All these guides baffle me, i even have an arctic freezer pro on the darn thing as i do intend to OC it eventually i just need a decent guide first.

Also, its at stock because i dont know how to overclock it just yet :p Got an ASRock 939 and not sure on how to do it, tried changing the options in bios but nada!

If thats the asrock dual motherboard you should hit 2.5ghz, never used it myself but there is a HUGE thread on it in the motherboard section.

Still wouldnt mind having the 146 for my Epox board :D

here is my score.

3dm06.png

xp-m2600 @ 2.5ghz (200x12.5)
crucial 1.5gb ram (1gb+512mb)
inno3d 6800nu fully unlocked and clocked at 400/835

score seems about average for a spec like mine.

Interesting, just ran it on a similar system - still not applied the hotfix or registry update, but got:

4546 3Dmark'06
SM2 = 1927
HDR/SM3 = 1877
CPU = 1456

X2 4400 / XFX GTX EE (490/1300)

Had you applied the AMD driver or any of the other things?

Both AMD and MS Hotfix installed and all the settings in nvidia control panel are at performance rather than quality settings.

And just got 2Gb Geil value.

Tried it again:

4667
SM2.0 1912
HDR/SM3.0 1900
CPU 1673

Probably more of an average there now (I ran the first test first thing this morning) and the 4788 was a high that I'll never be able to repeat at stock! ;)
