Welcome to the forums, and congrats on a nice score.

These results were without any overclocking being applied (although the BFG cards I've got are pre-overclocked slightly above the reference).

I am using ForceWare drivers 81.98 and Windows XP Professional SP2

Testing was done at the default settings of 3DMark2006:

Resolution = 1280 x 1024
Anti-Aliasing = None
Filtering = Optimal
HLSL VS Target = 3.0
HLSL PS Target = 3.0

3DMark06 is really 3DMark05 version 2. Pretty, though.

how come your cpu score is 875 and mine is 902? i thought the A64 would have beat my old xp cpu hands down??

lol... some people with expensive processors are getting owned with people with relatively cheap processors...

sometimes it works the other way though.... the results dont seemed structured at all

Dual core has a huge effect on the CPU tests which account for lower overall scores of those single core FX chips.

*Pats X2 @ 2.7something ghz*

Spending £320 on my GTX was the worst thing I ever did.

3841 Marks for...

Aopen 7800GTX
Athlon 64 3500+ Stock Speed
1GB Corsair TwinX C2 Ram (@CAS 2)

can you play games maxed at decent framerates.... you must be able to.... forget number... i think its pretty stupid paying loads of money just for a good score that will probably be bettered by millions of people anyway....

i want upgrades because i want decent performance in games... i know im not going to get the best, and i know if i ever used 3dmark06 id get a naff score compared to some people out there...

this benchmark is not a good one in any shape or form for the current generation of games.

I dont think this benchmark will be valid until all newly released games are dual core compliant.

MY x1800xt gets beaten or matched by 7800gt's but in games it beats my 7800gtx.

3d mark 01 for the win i say.

Tom
