4.8ghz on 3770k

I know my 3570K was hitting high 70s/low 80s at 4.8GHz 1.34V in LinX on a decent air cooler, so I suspect he's getting similar depending on his cooling.

Can't believe you hit those temps. I'm benching my system now, 4.8GHz running LinX and CPU-Z shows a voltage of 1.280 and i'm getting high 70s and low 80s, max temp is 83 degrees so far.

Bare in mind thats a mITX system with only a 240 radiator but still. Think I need some new thermal paste.

james, out of interest. What kind of settings are you using for 4.8ghz @ 1.280v??

Although I am on 4.6ghz (under load 1.28v), I wouldnt mind touching on that clock speed.

As the topic states lol

Keep in mind I don't have hyperthreading on my cpu so my temps are going to be a bit lower. And I did clean my cpu HSF quite well when I rebuilt my rig last week, so I'm at peak performance. That's a crazy low voltage for 4.8GHz btw.

Wasn't stable at that speed sadly :(

4.7GHz seems to be the sweet spot as anything more than that and i'm looking at a fairly big increase in voltage.

Currently running 1.24v at 4.7GHz and it's running through LinX now 10 passes just to see how it gets on.

Really want a good combination of multi vs BLK though, will try 45x104.5 later and see how it gets on.

What temps are you getting with IBT? My 3770k at 4.7GHz and 1.25v hits high 70 degrees on full load and that's with a custom water loop.

Previously 89C then i changed volts down to 1.35V and PLL to 1.65 and its now 86C max load with a H80.Check the postimage link http://postimage.org/image/o3h9i684r/full/

Its hot but its never gonna be that hot ever not even under P95 so im happy enough. And my case is getting murdered by substandard akasa apache fans which cannot really cope with Demcfilters.

I tried looking at that memory timing pic u sent 8pack, but im still confused on what i should do next to increase ram performance.
current 9-9-9-24-1 1.5v

For gaming mate your talking 1% most now after what uve done i would think.Only just realized your from NI too bud come join the NI 4700mhz club and leave your ram alone ;)

I would be extremely happy with 8-8-8-24-1T if it can hold 4700mhz.
