It doesn't. Gsync is for Nvidia cards only.
You'll be wanting to wait for AMD's equivalent "Freesync" I think it's called.
6gb 780 sli would be the sweet spot for this monitor, run you around £800 for the pair and leave you with both the grunt and vram to get the absolute best from it
But I still think it would worth trying G-sync first hand somewhere first, before dropping £1.3K on this investment. Even with DSR, it would be annoying to send the monitor and graphic cards back, and then there's also the issues of that amount of money being tied up for a while, which may or may not matter, depending on individuals.Agreed. If I was buying right now, I would be grabbing a pair of 6GB 780s and pre-ordering this monitor.

Can you expand on this some more as I'm really struggling with what card to buy. A Titan Black seems like overkill and not useful for 4K, I've seen some 780Ti over clocked cards cope with 4k at 30-40 FPS (which is enough for me as I mostly play strategy games/edit home movies/etc).
It also feels like paying extra for a card like a Inno3D Chill OC 780ti card would work better in the long run with options to SLI later. The only thing holding me back is the impact of only 3gb VRAM on the 780ti vs. 6gb on the 780 or Titan.
Can't see the sense of buying SLI now when Maxwell might be 6 months away...
And yes, I'm committed to buying Nvidia cards as I've bought a g-sync 4K monitor and have had great experiences with Nvidia over the years.
So I'm about to drop on my new custom build after taking lots of advice and dropping a few things to save some money:
Phantom Red case
ASUS RAMPAGE Extreme X79
i7 4930K (was going i7 4960X but it was suggested that the 4930K is virtually the same but much cheaper)
32GB Kingston HyperX Beast 1866MHz (was going 64GB but was suggested this was overkill and I can always add to it later)
Inno3D Geforce GTX 780 iChill HerculeZ X3 Ultra 6144MB (do I need 2 for 4K?)
Custom water cooling
Originally settled on ASUS Sonic Master MX279H 27" 1080P but then I thought about the 4K monitors but will the single Inno GPU handle 4K or will I need two? Which 4K monitor would you suggest as this one looks like the one to go for? Bear in mind my new rig is mainly for music production but I need colour accuracy for photoshop/fine art and gaming will be something I'll no doubt get into more and more with this new rig as I previously always used PS3 and PS4 and didn't have a PC worth gaming on.
Will this monitor tilt forward at all?
This is the final decision I need to make before ordering so I'm keen to get answers and get the order in.
Appreciate the help!

Dell have one too: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-071-DE&groupid=17&catid=1895
That's one thing I am concerned about, I think it has to be an IPS. Also searching google reveals comments about windows desktop looking blurred and things looking tiny. So do I stick to my original plan of the ASUS Sonic Master 27" 1080P and the single Inno 6GB Card and consider an upgrade later?
What's the ETA on IPS 4K?
