Seriously considering going the best of both worlds route and having this Acer along with the ASUS Sonic Master MX279H 27" or the 299Q Ultra Wide and 2 Inno 780 6Gig cards, that gives me the 4K and the IPS 1080P.

Well I've got my order in for a custom watercooled rig, 2 of the Inno 6Gb cards and one of these monitors along with numerous other stonking bits of kit. Now for the wait to get it all!

That's a solid rig! I might get one of those inno 6gb 780s but I don't know about the warranty.
 
Are they as good as EVGA? I don't know, in what sense, do you mean quality of product, warranty, aftersales service? It's basically a stock Nvidia reference card with a better cooler, all the components are exactly the same as far as I'm aware.

As for custom bios, I'm not sure. If you want to OC then you could just as easily use software to do this.
 
I take it the early batch isn't happening gibbo?

Quick question, do these come with a dp cable? If not can you recommend one that's up to the job? I've been reading some people's 4k issues have been down to the dp cable not being up to scratch.
 
Would love to get one of the early batch myself so any news on that would be great.

Also as pgi947 said above, I too wonder if they come with the cable. My new ASUS Sonicmaster Ultra Wide has both HDMI and DP in the box as well as both EU and UK power supply cable. I hope these come with all cables supplied.
 
I think the early batch was a myth, lets hope the 5th is still on i want one but will wait for reviews as i know two people who have pre ordered :)
