Does anyone know if the UV codes in 4k discs are redeemable as 4k streams on any site? To access via a smart TV app I should add.

If £300 is your absolute max, I'd suggest either the Panasonic ub700 ( which exactly the same as the Ub900 just missing a few features), or the Sony UBP-X800. Which also does sacd.

UV are just the distributor, they use another service to show the content.

If you have the VUDU app on your phone then you can use a chrome cast to cast to your tv.

Any TV app that supports UV? Rakuten only covers about 8 of my entire UV collection.

Odd that one. Don't see why it's out. The model sequence was 300,400,700,900. What has the 390 got to offer?

Seems the 390 doesn't have WiFi

I can't see that happening any time soon. Sonys new top of the range UBP-X1000ES which costs £730 won't do dolby vision either.

The cost difference with 4k is the fact they include a standard blu ray. Yes they are cheap in the 2nd hand market but on initial release this is an unfortunate excess.

Netflix have added the Mel Gibson film The Patriot in 4k ultra. Think I'll give that a try as not seen it since my superbit copy.

Well the reviews on the Matrix 4k were spot on. Its a dark picture unless you have a TV with high nits

Different volumes for sources has always been the case. My best mate thought T2 looked amazing .
