I think they reviewed the 5090 suprim aswell no?This was interesting from Guru 3D regarding the 5080 Suprim:
Hmm, I hope that the 5090 version is better than that…

higher worseIs 1 lots of coil whine or 10 is the most?

I've had 3080 and 4090 Suprims with no coil whine.Bet you they have coil whine. I have never owned a high end MSI card without coil whine from the 580 lighting to the 3090ti to the 4090 suprims all of them had coil whine.
Honestly it hardly anything. Having said that The 4xxx series zotac were all silent all of them. 2 4080, 2 4090's. 4070ti didn;t hear a squeak regarding coil whine. Their launch days fans however...that a whole different thread in itself. It could be I have a particularly bad sample too, not a lot of reviews out there for many of the AIBs yet so maybe that will become clearer in time.
If 5080s and 5090s were abundent in supply I'd maybe be tempted to return this one and try another, but right now I'll just live with it as my backup GPU is a noisy old 2080 with a blower fan cooler so this is nothing compared to the noise that thing makes!
mines is kinda bad.4090 Suprims with no coil whine.
Hopefully, pre ordered Asus 5090. I wont sell my 4090 till I have it and have no issues. Recently upgraded everything to AM5, including new PSU, so fingers crossed, as didnt realise PSU was a factor.Oh no. If all 5090s have bad coil whine I'm 100% out. MSI and Asus changed their capacitors, I can't see them going back to ones that caused them so many RMAs.
you probably won't here it unless your rooms quiet.not heard any coil whine at all. Will continue to monitor it but all seems good to me so far.
If it was only with your ear pressed against the case none of us would have any problems with it everyou probably won't here it unless your rooms quiet.
you need to put your ear case level, it probably won't do it unless the cards under pretty high load
Possibly due to the lack of example cards out there. The scalpers haven't had time to deliver them to their marks yet!I think so far signs are really good. We haven't had any users yet where it's a problem to the extent they had to go back/be swapped out. The story last Gen at this point was very different.
Oddly this time around reviewers with coil whine are worse than user experience, wheres last Gen it was exactly the opposite (only Debauer noted it as an issue on the 40 series).
MSI 5080 Inspire 3x here
Inspire is a gold card, that's on the lower end but looks very nice IMO.What's that? I've seen MSI Ventus, Trio, Vanguard and Suprim, what's the Inspire? Your location says Scotland but are you living outside the UK at the moment where they name them differently?
yea i've a 4080 suprim and i've never heard a peep from it. I don't even know if the fans turn on tbh. They are always off when I lookI've had 3080 and 4090 Suprims with no coil whine.
I'm weird, but I'll take the silent embarrassment lol.yea i've a 4080 suprim and i've never heard a peep from it. I don't even know if the fans turn on tbh. They are always off when I look
I love how overbuilt modern cards are, I just wish they weren't such a bad deal. I'd rather deal with the noise of yesteryear and have a viable 500 dollar upgrade path than a silent 1700 dollar embarrassment
