My price prediction goes back to 2023 :D

My favourite is the last one. Another one mrk predicted wrong and I got right :D
Not surprised at the 5090 price although I am surprised at the others seeing a reduction.

I guess it’s the old jack up prices by 50% then knock 10-20% off and everyone is still paying 30% more than a few years ago but think they’re getting a bargain.

Looks like I'm upgrading to a 5080 then from my 3090. Tempted to go full 5090 but at double the price I just don't think it's worth it. 3090 to 5080 is a massive upgrade in itself assuming the vram thing checks out ok.

What is AIB and why is it more expensive?
AIB=Graphics cards built by Nvidia partners for example Asus and MSI. AIB stands for add-in-board, I think. But essentially GPU's sold by companies who buy chips off Nvidia and build their own boards and coolers for the chips.

It is more expensive because companies have to buy the GPU's (from Nvidia) and want to make a profit afterwards.

Thank you.

That Daniel Owen guy did a quick video highlighting from the nvidia slides where there are actual like for like DLSS3 comparisons and it seems like the 50xx are somewhere around 1.5x faster, what the actual rasterisation perf is in comparison I dont think was available (might be wrong, had the video on in the background).

Looked like 1.2x to 1.3x from them slides and that's still in rt. In pure raster it will be less.
