5090 Price

Not initially - as the 5000 series will sell relatively quickly and that'll mean that the 4000 series hold their price for a little longer. I'd expect the 4070 Ti Super to start to drop slightly in price by the summer.

Oh really, well perhaps I might as well just get the 4070ti super now then, for my first build. Wasn't planning on buying a 5000 series card. just was hoping to see some price changes sooner.

odd choice to increase the power and reduce the size ?

Exactly. I've no idea how they're going to raise the TDP by 28% and reduce the cooler size by 33% without increasing noise and heat dramatically.

Either they've come up with something ingenious or, more likely, they've decided the 4080/4090 coolers were just overkill. They did run very cool after all.

Wondering how the heat dissapation is gonna be, are we back to the usual FE being absolutely terrible at it? Because I can't understand how they made this 2 slot and small when other aibs have it at 3.5+ slots with triple fans...

If a 5070 really does perform the equivalent of a 4090 then fair enough, but I can’t see that being true - at least in raw performance and not including any DLSS or AI frame gen

Raw perf is the one thing we don't have any details on for anything, I'm expecting them to be around 20% faster at least, would be dissapointed if the only boost in perf is RT and Frame Gen

Much as I love the 4090FE, I'm not impressed with this new design. My 3080 was an Asus TUF so maybe I'll look at the 5090 Asus TUF (already on their website). Depends how much the Asus tax is.

Well they made outlandish claims for the 40 series over the 30 series which were based on framegen being used on the former so I see no reason why they wouldn't use the same smoke and mirrors.

I reckon the 5090 will average 50% faster than the 4090 on average.

I think the fe cooler is amazing. If you know how many models and simulations Nvidia throws at their coolers these days you wouldn't worry. They said on Gamers Nexus last launch it's pretty much unlimited resources to get it right.

The flow through design will work great with cases that have fans on the bottom. Clear air flow from bottom to top.

I doubt it with a 30% increase in cuda but a lower boost clock.

Just for reference the 4090 had a 56% cuda increase and 50% boost clock increase an averaged around +70%

This gen seems like a 20 series repeat but with the focus on AI.

I think it was mentioned that the 5090FE is a 3-board design? - It'll be interesting to see how third party's make a water block for that.
