guys if they are saying $2000 USD for a 5090 do you think in the UK that will mean £2250 GBP for a general 5090?

£2500 for a 5090 Strix or a Amp Extreme or a MSI Suprim?

oof thats a massive hit for ppl who paid £2000 for a 4090 and that a 5070 is more powerful that a 4090? dunno that doesn't sound quite right

maybe, the msi suprim 4090 was £2130~ from ocuk on launch day with the FE down at £1600?. Pretty sure it dropped a little when everyone realised that stocks where ok a few days in
tbh though those top end cards are kinda pointless. If the new FE can cool the chip in a 2 slot then there's no need for a 359 x 150 x 76 mm cooler design

omg, used markets have 4090 flooded already, GPU enthusiasts offloading their 4090 already!

and we dont even know the release date

who gonna get a 4090 for 500 quid?

i guess his reviews will focus on numbers after disabling MFG 4x
MFG 4x is a new nvidia tech that generates 3 ai-frames for every actual frame rendered
Frame Generation is one of the most useless features and I'm shocked that either camp is spending money on this Nonsense, I can only assume that consumers have forgotten why we care about frame rate in the first place and now only focus on bigger number good.

What do you mean? They have coincidentally realised the 4090 is too powerful for their use case and are downgrading to make sure it goes to someone who will use it.

Assuming I can get my hands on one at launch, I'll probably just go for one of the pre-installed waterblock versions of the card. Much less messing around / voiding the warranty etc that way.

The Gigabyte Aourus 5090 Xtreme Waterforce is already showcased on their site, not sure which other manufacturers will offer a pre-installed version.

Release date is confirmed for 30th January.
oh my days, is that international release date?

Im dont think a 5070 will beat a 4090 but a 5080 might beat a 4090, based on historical gaming benchmarks they have always been neck to neck, 50% on real time gsming? ive never seen a 50% increase

There’s a water cooled version of the ASUS Astral.

I like the idea of using my own fans, but I’m put off by the pump noise potentially being annoying. I wish a manufacturer would intentionally allow you to use your own fans on an air cooler!

msi have the suprim liquid too.

tbh I'm happy with a 4080 and the games just don't exist anymore to justify dropping £2k on a gpu. Its tres niche. 5080 looks to be 30% faster in the real world. Not great.
