Considering AMDs top card competes with the 5070, if you're considering AMD then you were never interested or needed 5080, 5090 performance in the first place aye
Heh, I’m not interested in a petty debate about AMD vs Nvidia. And I obviously have no elitism regarding a GPU manufacture lol.

All I’ve stated is that I am still hopeful for a £1k 5080. What is wrong with hoping to get the most out of my £1000-£1200 budget I set aside for a GPU.

Very doubtful 5080 will go for sale less than 4080s. 5090 will be 2k+.

5080 £1300+
5090 £2k+

There is no competition so why bow to gamers. We will cry about it. We will be rinsed. But we will buy them anyway.

Nvidia could get away with a $999 5080 and a $2500 5090 imo, certain people will always want the very best and won't be bothered by the (lack of) 'value' aspect.

The more you push into that territory the more you reduce your target market and the more you build long term damage to the brand. Also increased scrutiny you'll draw from regulators.

I'm not saying it's impossible it's above £2000 but it's unlikely (for the FE) IMO.
