Lol , I know
I haven't bothered posting at all in these forums due to the extreme fanboy comments
No point, you say one thing about ATI or nvidia being better at something, the entire red and green army come in and start baffling on about "oh, but this card got a better score in this benchmark by......, oh but this here proves that tessellation is better on nvidia cards and these certain games perform better using this GPU.....blah blah" etc.
Does it really matter whether it's by nvidia or ATI, seriously, as long as you buy a card that will do as you require whether it be able to play games in max settings above 40FPS on a 1920x1080 monitor or if it's for eyefinity or for 3D or if you want to have your extra graphic thing like physx, although obviously if you want physx or to use 3D etc. then you have to buy a certain brand of card.

I wonder will this vapor chamber cooling they have incorporated have a negative effect in cases like the FT02 and Raven ?

Fact is the 470 is not going to drop any lower than what rolypolyman paid for his, even when the 69** cards hit town, if it does I'll use a sig of any AMD fans choosing ;/
He went with the OCUK 470, bargain.
It's certainly possible... With heat-pipes the internal pressure is sufficiently high that gravitational direction doesn't have a big impact, but until we learn more about how the new vapour chamber works then we won't really know. I imagine a couple of reviews will investigate this, just like they did for heat-pipes when they first emerged onto the scene.
I have to say, I do like the concept of the vapour-chamber cooler - it should (in theory) be a very efficient means of cooling... I've wondered for a good few years if this kind of cooler design was feasible.
The reason I brought it up is their is a fair bit of hype on Bitech and from Hardocp about how good the Raven RV02 and Fortress FT02 are at taming the GTX 480 especially with the new 180mm penetrators. Because of the way the cooling is setup the Fermi's fans don't spin as loud. However I have seen a few users with 5970's complain about these cases, and how the heatpipes seem to get hot in the wrong places causing hot air pockets to build up around the northbridge. Doesn't the 5970 use vapour chamber cooling ?
