60oz Steak challenge.

No, the idea is if someone completes the challenge they increase the size of the burger and they get to name the next burger. Last challenge was complete by a very thin young women "apparently" Last burger was 96oz in size.

48oz is enough for me! then I hit the food coma, meat sweat as the burger goes stodgy as the cheese get's cold.

Oh i see,

That burger would destroy me, i think the missus is going to try the desert one.

I'm not sure i could even touch that! I bought a ribeye a while back which turned out around 25oz and whilst i felt i could probably eat more it was starting to become a struggle.

Along with a huge pile of chips i think i'd just break half way through!

hahaha good luck it's insane. A good friend tried this challenge, she is the biggest dessert person ever and considering we had been dieting for a photo-shoot she destroyed it.

if I recall it's

1 x fudge cake or chocolate cake (the 4-6 people sharing type) metled in middle
6 scoops ice-cream
6 brownies
pack marshmallows
about 12 - 15 profiteroles

She decided to drive home, just past the Castle we had to pull over as she had blurry vision and shaking - was hilarious. No sugar for close to 12 weeks then that! big time sugar rush!

Hahaha,

May have to book a taxi...

I did a 60oz steak plus chips and salad.

Eat fast and don't chew too much, chewing makes you feel fuller as does eating slowly, it allows your body to realise it is full. You need to work faster.
Chewing will also knacker your jaw.

I did no prep, had breakfast and lunch, then a few beers so I was damn hungry, and just ate fast.

About 3 hours later, and after a few more beers, I had pudding as well.

But then I'm 6'6" and anywhere between 19-21 stone (it fluctuates).

You can stuff your michelin stars where the sun don't shine, that is probably one of the best menu's I've ever read.

I'm sweating just reading it.

Mushrooms are like eating fresh air, so no worries with that.

I reckon I could pack the steak away but I doubt I could even finish the chips even if they were just on their own.

Just pretend you been on ex for a few weeks, I'm sure you will get it down you then :p

I love a rare steak but anything over 16 oz and I can feel the meat sweats kicking in. Good luck though!

Just seeing the amount of failures on fb shows me that this is an almost impossible challenge.

I'm confident I would spank the cheesy inferno though. Heat just doesn't bother me.

Cheers for the support guys i appreciate it,

There are an awful lot of fails on the FB page.
Speed is the key i think, going to have a small breakfast in the morning and hope for the best come the challenge, worst case scenario is that i leave the place with a belly full of delicious steak and a few pound heavier:D

Speed is definitely the key. You'll want to finish eating within around 15-20 mins max otherwise you'll hit a massive wall.

I'd go for the chips first and get them out the way, then tackle the steak. I'd rather eat meat if I wasn't hungry than chips, as the steak tastes nicer. :)

As for prep, eat lots of big meals leading up to the event to get your stomach stretched. Also do as much exercise as you can to work up an appetite + lots of fresh air and being outside helps. Then don't eat anything on the day leading up to the event.

Good luck! ;)

Did the steak back in 2010.

Link to bad photo as too big to show on forum - http://www.digitalbinary.co.uk/steak.jpg

At the time I was the closest they'd seen to completing it. I completed the steak and sides with only a few chips left over.

The steak itself is big, but not the best quality. The killer has to be the chips. By the time I was getting towards the end they were pretty cold and greasy - not particularly pleasant. I also felt pretty ropey for a day or so after.

Always wanted to try a steak challenge. Did a kilo burger and all the trimmings few years back, just got bored of the same flavours rather than full. Introduce sauces as late as possible would be my advice!

Based on the image on the previous page it doesn't look that much to be fair... :s but like normal steak is what like 15oz ish... so weight wise.. wow.
