650D my first WC build

Yeah will do thanks Ash. Pretty much decided on the parts, Not sure on the fittings at the moment, Might go with 1/2 barbs and 7/16 tubing with these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-096-KA.

If I decide on compression's though, I was looking at either the XSPC ones or EK fittings. What size tubing and compression's would be best? My list thus far is.

1. XSPC Acrylic Reservoir For Laing DDC Pumps
2. Laing DDC-1T Plus pump (18W)
3. Fittings?
4. Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 240mm Rad
5. Primochill Primoflex Advanced Tubing x 2m (colour undecided)
6. 2x GT's @ 1850rpm
I already have A XSPC Raystorm waterblock for the 2500k and a EK 580gtx phantom waterblock. Hopefully should have everything in a couple of weeks.

I know what you mean regarding the V Gene, I always liked the idea of a smaller board, But it can seem lost in a 650d! Will def be posting up stuff when I start and no doubt need some guidance ;) thanks!

I would go with 7/16 - 5/8 tubing then you can use 1/2" barbs like you mentioned. Also you can get slightly tighter bends then you can with 1/2" tubing and doesn't look really sknny like 3/8. The only thing that bugs me a little with 7/16 tubing is there is less fittings available, especially with the Koolance disconnects as there are none available with 7/16 compressions so you have to use 1/2 barbs.

As for fittings barbs will be cheaper but I prefer compressions, I would use Bitspower if you can afford them if not then go for XSPC. I have seen a few cases where people have had EK fitting corrode or the plating scratches off easy.

Everything in your list looks good, I can't speak for the pump as I have never used it, but I have heard good things about it.
