Not sure if I’m being paranoid but peaking under the heatsink the nvme drives look a bit bowed, not sure if I over tightened

the only problem with this build for me is the off brand PSU, i have only ever had problem with off brand
Phanteks dont make PSU's it made by XXX i assume a big brand like seasonic so just buy seasonic....

No company ever phoned seasonic and said we want your PSU but better... and cheaper. because there told pick one option..
if its cheaper its for a reason.
I just got rid of a lian-li that was replaced 3 times but gave the same problem ever time.

Not sure if I was being paranoid but the socket cover didn’t pop off I had to pull it, removed the cpu to check the socket and didn’t see any bent pins.

I’ll have to move the aio down a bit if I want to hide the top fans cable, was hoping I wouldn’t have to remove the top fans again to put the aio cables & the top fan cable but if I have any issues I can do it while I adjust the aio. Had issue with the top fan with the cpu 8pin cable, had to push down on it so hope it down dame it.

Still need to install the Lian Li controller boxes and the Sapphire 7900XTX Nitro+, not looking forward to the cable mess at the back.
Not sure if I tightened the pump on the cpu too much or not tight enough, twisted it with my finger for a bit then several turns with a screw driver.

Don't forget to get the motherboard bios updated.

Look forward to the finish build.

What’s the likelihood of the motherboard having the bios that supports x3d so I can flash from within the bios instead of bios flashback?
Most likely it's already got the correct bios its more to do with the overheating issues and the CPU burning in the socket.

Bios update has fixes for it so update to latest as soon as.

Before I can connect the fan & rgb extension cable controller boxes waiting on the Lian Li USB 2.0 header splitter, coming from the German Rainforest as couldn’t find it from any UK retailer.

Had a bit of trouble plugging in the 7900XTX so I hope I’ve not damaged it, not fitted the anti-sag bracket yet but the pci-e slot is reinforced and the card feels quite solid in it. The pci-e slot on the Asus Maximus VI Hero in my old pc is also reinforced, I never got around to fitting the bracket in that and it seemed to be fine for the past month.

Again not looking for to sorting out that mess in the back.

Got code d7 so stuck in a keyboard, getting code 42 not mentioned in the manual, looking online on Reddit one person said they had to change their cpu & another mentioned not enabling the xmp/expo. I’ve not connected the monitor yet so don’t know yet if it’ll post, need to download the bios update.

Got a monitor connected and it posts

First time build so I crossed my fingers and hit yes

Do I do the ignore option in the bios for the cpu fan as I have the aio radiator fans connected to the Lian Li controller box to control the speed & rgb?

I’ve been procrastinating over getting it finished, should’ve been done by now.
The last water cooling build I did was I think the 4700k, had the Asus Maximus VI Formula with the built in chipset block.
