7800X3D gaming build(no fancy name)

Thats fine, only a few hundred.

It'll be different silicon and cooling making the difference - nothing to worry about

We’ll just set the RGB in Lian Li L connect, the NZXT Cam and Corsair iCue to black and white, not sure how to do it in the Sapphire Trixx and not sure I want to install Asus Armoury Crate to change the colour on the small section of the heatsink.

Doesn’t come out well in a photo

White is a terrible colour to match across diferent devices , they will all look different :D

And you can turn off the mobo rgb in BIOS if you want ( something like onboard devices or nb onboard devices - set it to stealth mode i think.

I prefer non RGB builds with braided cables ATM look so clean

I was going to go the non-rgb route but ended up splashing out
It looks good m8 I didn't mean it in a way it looks crap or anything like that :) looks a tidy build and good spec hopefully you get some good gaming sessions going and not much tweaking :)

Well I turned off the Aura in the bios as @Brizzles suggested and just turned the rgb off in the sapphire trixx software as I couldn’t see option to choose your own colours, got the rgb set in icue for it to use the black and white at startup as originally it was doing rainbow at startup then black and white once in windows didn’t see a similar option in l connect. I’ve noticed that if I turn the pc off at the wall then it reverts to rainbow for the fans and strimmer plus and was doing so for the ram till I found the option

It’s ok I know you didn’t mean anything negative

openRGB has always worked for me, saves having to use all these bloatware software packages from board vendors, maybe you will have luck with that and not need all the other softwares.

Thanks will have a look

Edit: we’ll I tried it, the stable one only seemed to do anything to strimmer plus and the latest unstable version got stuck on scanning the devices.

ok, worth a shot, it does take some setting up, have to manually put in the number of led's on mobo connections but i found it best to ensure everything is connected by the motherboard, the beta one picked up my ram and aio and they werent connected to via any RGB pins.

your aio by looks of it is a lot more fancy than mine, so prob stuck with the crappy nzxt software

Yep RGB control is a pain at times.

OP will have ;

Lian'Li for the fans and cables
Asus for the mobo
Corsair for the ram
NZXT for the AIO
Sapphire for the graphics card

All have there own software !!!

EDIT ;

Just checked - you can connect the gfx card to the mobo and use ASUS for both, no need for iTRIXX

I’ve simply turned off the motherboard one off in the bios as can’t be bothered with armoury crate as have read bad things about, have the rest that you mentioned.

@Brizzles @coly the order came sooner than expected, photo of the box for clue

I stupidly peeled off the black tape on the other side, the one that doesn’t say open this side and was wondering why it didn’t come off as easily.

Wow, that's a lot of dough... says the guy who just spent £300 on a mouse and keyboard for a pc he doesn't even have yet haha!
Hope it's comfy!

I've got a £10 plastic chair for the time being

What did you get? I’ve dipped into the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole, have spent little over £1k on 2 keyboards + parts for it but not built them yet.
Was looking at the asus & aim labs collab mouse but ended up getting the pulsar x2 boardzy edition
