** 8 PACK BUNDLE: 6700K OC, AIO, ASUS HERO, 16GB 3000MHz & MORE FOR £499.99 (£270 SAVING) **

Whats happening here?

I've gotton around to applying the overclock and I'm seeing strange things!

All set up as per the guide. However:

Im currently runnning RealBench for an hours stress test.

- CoreTemp reports CPU frequency of 4500.00Mhz (100.00 *45.0)

- CPU-Z reports Core Speed of 4008.25 Mhz

- RealBench 2.43 reports CPU speed of 4001.0 Mhz

So why is the system dropping the multiplier back down to 40 from 45 ?

we sold hundreds and hundreds of these RMA rate is no different to normal component RMA rate........................

The chance of any problme is very slim!!! Its been thought about and tested a lot. We will support in any case.

I already tested for over a month Kabylake bundles to replace this and other 8Pack Z chipset stuff.

Whats your veiws on the kabylake gibbo any good .
and any news on price ranges on proccesor and motherboards yet

just wondering how much more they will be than the current i7 6700k stuff

regards tink

Odd,

Running Prime95 with the same settings puts CPU-Z at core speed at 4497.79Mhz!

Will just let this roll for an hour now.

EDIT: Prime failed. Core voltage override increased to1.35 - running again

EDIT 2: Prime failed Worker 4 after 18 tests and 48 miutes - 1 error 0 warning. I guees i need to bump the voltage a touch more!

I may have missed something but i didn't get the overclock instructions or a link to it. It hasn't bothered me as I overclocked straight away by myself but fancy double checking I got it as good as I could. Is there a link for it?

Havent gone too low, ive been running at 4.6 with adaptive voltage running at highest of 1.360 i think it was. just done a few things i didn't know about from that guide and running it on manual at 1.360 which is stable for now. so will lower it. Not sure when i find the lowest how exactly to run it? do i leave it manual or make it run in adaptive? dont really like the idea of full volts all the time?!

Ok thanks. good result at 4.6.

I Just got another worker 3 failure, this time after 23 minutes, 1 error 0 warning.

Will bump voltage to 1.36 and re-run - AGAIN lol!

Got what i think is my final voltage, 4.6 @1.330v
Temps are looking pretty awesome now as well. Although not ran a long stress test or gaming session but enough to think its pretty stable.

Try and lower your voltage if you can. I'm down to 1.28v @ 4.6, it isn't stable at any less voltage or 4.7 :(

It failed a quick stress test at 1.325, so its set at 1.330 (ai suite saying its at 1.344 at max).

Just tried to get it working in adaptive mode and that didnt go well at all. motherboard said it was running the cpu at something like 1.1 even though i put in 1.330 as before. Basically i dont get adaptive mode but only just started really looking into it. Running in manual for now till i figure it out properly.

Prime 95 no need.... Real bench has CPU Z built into it often if you run the two together you get incorrect values. Use XTU to monitor Frequency when using Real Bench. Also use XTU stability test with a 3D app as a great stability measure also.

Those asking about Kabylake we cant comment on none released stuff.

Thanks 8Pack.

Regards my Prime failures, am i simply looking a voltage increase to rectify do you think to achieve stability? Reason i ask is that the 1st crash occurred after 48 minutes, then increased voltage a little and a different worker stopped after 20 minutes, no difference in temps noted.

Thanks
