8 PACK MEMORY RANGE GROWING: SAY HELLO TO 8 PACK RIPPED EDITION & 32GB KITS!!!

I'm gonna have another go at improving my score today just to get it out of my system.

Then I can finally set and forget with my current configuration. :p

Nope I'm gonna leave it as it is. ;)

Yeah troubling times, we made a Powercolor order last month, it has still not shipped simply because our cost say per graphics card shipping wise normally works out around $6 per card, but at the moment cheapest quotes working out $20 plus per card so they are waiting for a better quote as that difference in shipping cost is sometimes the amount of margin we make so it makes a big difference to us or the sell price.
Hi Gibbo will these run ok with gigabyte x570 elite and 3700x

Thanks

Just doing XMP and then tightening tfaw and trfc gets you 90% there anyway on your max.

Learn about those two... And that's a better place to be. Better than XMP, and you've learned what youve changed and why.

When you mention tfaw as a timing to change, I see online tfaw should be 4 * tRRDS does this mean for me to lower tfaw I need to lower tRRDS?

I have a new score although this has not been properly stability tested.

Anything left I can possibly tighten?

Yes you would need to lower tRRDS however you may run into a motherboard limitation.
My Asrock as an example it is locked at a minimum of 4.

Change tRCDWR to 8 and try that.

Unfortunately I could not find a way to run 3600MHz 14 14 14 14 28 (31). Even with every other timing on auto it would generate errors even using 1.51v...

I got my 32Gb kit today, I've just plugged it in and set the XMP on in Bios, I'm at 1.3v which I see is too low.

Here is the bnech, my first time doing this so I have no idea what's good.

It's one of those timings that raising it can greatly help with stability.

Thanks, I've set it to 16, it dropped my time to 222.7, I haven't ran a stability test but no crashes in my regular use.

Anything else I should try? My settings looks pretty good from what I've read over the last few pages.

You could always try increase the ram speed and infinity fabric, the fclk can go up to 1900 if you have a good chip and this allows you to increase the ram to 3800 while maintaining the 1-1 ratio.

Very strange.

How is 16 16 17 16 32 (with secondary and tertiary looser) scoring 223 when my 14 14 15 14 28 (with secondary and tertiary tighter) scoring only 221.

Same CPU. The only difference is @Nick1881 is running 32Gb of ram....

Anyway... I'm happy with my ram.

I spent this evening trying to get 14 14 14 14 28 to work, with every combo of dram voltage and procodt know to man and it just wouldn't have it.

I also tried FCLKs faster than 1800MHz and it too just wouldn't have it so I think the ram is as fast as it will go.

His score is better because he's running a dual rank 32gb kit which has a slight performance advantage over single rank at identical clocks, same applies when running 4 dimms vs 2.

Thanks, they should both be the same right? What sort of increments should I try and what stability testing software is used these days? I have Prime 95 still, it's been a long time since I overclocked.

Leave your ram at 3600 as you know that's stable then change fclk to 1900 if it doesn't boot or fails aida then drop to 1867 and repeat > 1833. I found the aida 64 system stability memory and cache test was good way to test infinity fabric.

Once you know your highest stable fclk then work on the ram.

Thanks very much, will give this a whirl today.
