8 PACK MEMORY RANGE GROWING: SAY HELLO TO 8 PACK RIPPED EDITION & 32GB KITS!!!

Isn’t that 3600?

also, can you try tRASat 21 and see if it’s stable?

I take is tRAS to CAS isn’t happy at 14? tRAS to CAS has the biggest impact on your performance.

Is this kit of RAM single rank or dual rank?

I have some 32gig dual rank Samsung modules that are at 3200 CL 14-15-14-14-21 at 1.35v.

If I try get the kit to anything like 3266 or above, it won’t POST. Even at 1.5v. Very odd.

In case anyone doesn't know, great sales on RAM. 3600 32GB kit can be had for £158.99: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...00c16-3600mhz-dual-channel-kit-my-002-8p.html

If you are in the market for 32GB of DDR4 no reason to not buy now. I know technically the Crucial kit is £128.99 but to guarantee dual rank for £30 plus slightly better XMP timings seems worth it.

I've picked up a set for that price. Currently running some Corsair B-die at 1800Mhz C16 but want to try and get some C14 goodness.

Nope, 3800 (1900MHz x 2)

No, they certainly wouldnt be happy at tRAS 14 running 3800 & 1900 FCLK. B-Die can go down to tRAS22...

Info from @MrPils
tRAS on B-Die can go down to 22 - voltage affects this ability though so reduce slowly and carefully. Pay careful attention to post and boot times, you should "feel" when this becomes unstable and move back up if so.

tRC = tRAS + tRP so a reduction in tRAS and tRP can reduce tRC. You don't need to test this, calculation will suffice.

Samsung B die, Dual rank.

What are the Samsung modules default rating? e.g. 3200 CL16 1.40v

edit, I reduced tRAS from 28 > 22 and tRC from 42 > 35. Errors at 1.50v to bumped t0 1.52v

Works but benefits are minimal, if any

Unless I missed something hasn't your L3 Cache speeds almost doubled for read and big boost to write and copy?
I think you're looking at an old AIDA screenshot when I was on A.86 AGESA 1.2.0.0.
Now on A.B3 AGESA 1.2.0.3c which corrects AIDA L3 scores

Shot here showing 14-15-13-28 increased L3 scores (also lower latency with tRAS28 than tRAS22) I doubt GDM is kicking in otherwise it would be way higher and scores all lower

Am I tripping or were the Team Group 3600 CL16 32GB £159 yesterday? I'm pretty certain they were so went to check compatibility with someone to ensure thats what they wanted and now it appears they have gone up £40?
Gutted if I have missed out on this deal :(

I currently have the Ballistix running at 3733 16,16,20,20
Would there be any noticeable difference in gaming if I were to swap to the 8 pack and hopefully tune to 3800 CL14/16 (assuming it would clock to that)

Not worth the money. The only time something like the 8 Pack makes sense (upgrade wise) is if you have say 16GB of <3200C16 and you're looking for 32GB while making sure you get dual rank as an added bonus. This made some sense at £158.99 but at current prices I'd definitely stick to what you have now.

That's fair enough, I wasn't sure if the ability for tighter timings would have been a much bigger benefit but I guess not.
Perhaps I should just try and tighten the timings a bit further with what I have then consider the swap if they drop in price again.

Maybe a small increase in minimum fps if you game at 1080p with low/medium settings. Good idea, trying tightening timings with your current set - 3800 / 1900FCLK / CL16 might be possible

I'm on 1440p so probably no discernible different running at that.
I'll just try tighten a bit further and see how I go.
When I first got my 5800X, I did just bang it up to 3800/1900 and left the settings the same. It ran for maybe 30 minutes gaming then started to bug out. So I would hope I could make it stable.
