Where are people reading that she's an alcoholic?

The Sun (ok, not the best source)

Speaking today, one friend said they didn't know why Chloe had started to "kick off", adding: "She's quite worried about it.

"She could go to prison and face a hefty fine."

Describing her as a "girl about town", he said she had previously faced problems with drinking.

On June 4, she was banned from the road for 28 months after drink-driving and ordered to pay £170 court costs.

She was also given a series of community orders for three assaults and fined £450 at Slough Magistrates' Court.

Well she's got three previous incidents for assault, a recent drink driving ban and she's got wasted on a flight to the point where she had to be restrained and fast jets deployed as she seemed to be a threat to the flight itself.

That does seem to indicate a drinking problem.

"She was only petite but she had the strength of a fully-grown man. The only time I've seen anything like that was when someone had just dropped acid, she had super strength.

"It was like she was possessed."

Has a commercial airliner ever been shot down by a country's airforce?
Possibly / probably, I don't recall.

However, Iran Air Flight 655 was shot down in 1988 by a ship-to-air missile fired from the USS Vincennes whose crew were subsequently awarded medals all round for bravery I believe.

And (deniable) Russian proxies shot down a Malaysian civilian aircraft over Ukraine.

Pretty much the same thing, surely?

You can see she's absolutely slaughtered in the video on the plane.
their not though. alcoholics have an addiction to alcohol both mentally and physically, problem drinkers don't have that addiction. below explains it better than i could.

edit: and being slaughtered doesn't necessarily mean the person that is hammered is either. but given her history i'd say she's almost certainly a problem drinker.

Yup, Korean Air Lines flight 007 (horribly ironic) flew into Soviet prohibited airspace in 1983 while the Soviets believe that the USAF was conducting reconnaissance flights in and around the area. After ignoring warning shots from the Soviet aircraft, KAL007 was shot down with air to air missies.

Didn't the Russians shoot another Korean air flight down as well?

Thanks, I was not aware of the distinction.

I rarely drink, and when I do I merely turn in to an immature **** for a few hours.

Thanks, quite interesting - that sounds like some afternoon Wikipedia reading once work is quiet!

I think the £85,000 bill is excessive. But she should be banned from all airlines.

Actually 85k is probably a reasonable assessment of the overall cost to the airline.

Also, it's possible the QRA Typoons where scrambled due to a miscommunication between the flight deck and ATC. Passengers kicking off and having to be restrained whilst unusual does happen from time to time without a fighter escort.
