8800GT Ramblings Thread

wonder if ocuk have these cards all ready ive got a funny feeling there might be some great deals on the gts tomorrow.shift some remaining stock to impatient gt customers.
 
Alrighty lads, ive gone home, picked up my PC and brought it back to work, cards in and im installing the drivers :)

Unfortunately i only have a dell 9200 with a C2D 6600 so my results will not be amazing, i think the best i got on 06 with my old card was about 9500, so if i beat that ill be happy, i have upgraded from a 8600GTS though, so im looking for a big improvement.

Oh yeh i take it you dont work at the local asda store then ;), you the boss then.
 
Okay dokey, it wont let me publish due to the new beta drivers not being authorised, but the stock run with my CPU at 2.4ghz, everything default basically is.

My 640mb Leadtek got just under 9000 at stock, so a nice little jump.

Now its time to play :)

damn i want one so much, but need the cash from my gts first.... I cant justify emptying the little cash i have in the bank for a new toy... (roll on pay day lol)
 
Can't wait receive mine... in the end I actually paid less for a 512MB EVGA 8800GT than I sold my 320MB 8800GTS for. I upgraded for -£4! :D
 
Did anybody notice if any of the reviews out over the last few days showed minimum and maximum frame rates as well as the average ones?
 
Just changed my EVGA to a BFG over the phone. Got told the EVGA should be in stock today but not taking the chance for a fiver. Got a system with no card, new build too!
