8800GT Ramblings Thread

Yes stable, as in, ran 3d mark 03, 05 and 06 and played Arma for an hour :)

Had a quick try at Core 740, mem 2100, shader was about 1830, but it hung on 3d 06 on the firefly bench, but that was still on 33% fan.

Bench again later tonight with the fan at 50%, target is 750 core :)

My card is running at core 720, mem 2100 shader 1770 with the stock cooler at only 33%. and still pushing the clocks up.:eek:

Will wait till the weekend before I have chance to try the Accelero, and only then if I think I can get more with it .:)

Yes. They're all the same cards apart from the odd one with slightly 'better' memory. The Gigabyte will be the same as any other one that has been reviewed using the stock clocks.

I like it clean and simple like the Evga one. Blue PCB is waaayy better IMO but only Sparkle has it :(

ME THREE!! My card has been with city link since 1pm so I'm bound to get it tomorrow. Great timing as there is no lecture tomorrow!

Think I won't be dissapointed with the new card but it has been a while since I last used NV, the last one I had was FX5700 PCI-E... since then I went from 9550 > 9800pro > X1600pro > X1800XT > HD2900XT.
 
Anyone got the ocuk one yet? I had to change mine one, after finding out the delay on the evga's.
Will be here tomorrow so will of course post my overclocks. :)
 
Well I've got no Inno coming now. Thought I'd done everything right when using google checkout last night, nabbing one of the last ones. Rang the place up just now and they've no order from me, google checkout number brings up didly squat.

That bloody google checkout is a farce. Do no evil - yeah right. Waste of time they are.

Looks like I'll have to make do with my GTS now. I'm not very happy at this moment in time.:mad:

Mine gets to around 740/1813/2160 with 50% fan, temps stay under 70C. So definitely try turning the fan up, I can't hear it at 50%.

Well I've just bought one now using the ordinary payment method. Hope I don't get two delivered tomorrow. This cards too good to pass up.;)

I know but i dont tend to keep cards that long, anyhow there is a bit of a wait for these from what they told me on the phone earlier.

Ty for the info, I will up the fan, I have had no tearing or checkers or anything like that :), amazing card for the money .
 
Looks like i've successfully installed it. I've just ran the driver cd and restarted my comp. Have optimized my display am now wondering if their is a newer driver version and what applications i should run for testing things?

Thanks to those who have helped btw.
