Anyone else with a gigabyte card tryed never winter nights 2 yet? (comes with the card for those that dont no). tbh I think they where having a laugh when they bundled it, crisis runs spot on at high settings, however the advertised game NWN2 runs at 5 fps if that at high.

Anyway, thats my rant over. Think i will just sell it.

My first question of the evening is at what stage do i uninstall the old gfx card drivers and what do i use to do so? Jeez, i'm nervous about doing this lol.

Make sure it's patched - performance appeared to improve a lot with the latest compared to the released version. I'm interested in knowing the performance in NWN2 if you get a chance to patch it. What res are you running at?

Its easy, download driver cleaner, uninstall the display driver in the control panel. Turn off pc, take out old card, put in new one. Boot up into windows run driver cleaner then install the driver!!!
Then enjoy

Is this the bad lad veryone is looking to have for xmas time?

I'm probably going to take a plunge nearer xmas, £200 being a good point to base my spending around.

PS: BFG are my brand, steady as a rock and i'm quite happy to continue with them, also i wont be over clocking it.

Hmm think i'm going to go with an Arctic S1 + Turbo Module rather than my vf900cu as it'll cool the memory a lot better.

On the reboot after taking your old card out I'd suggest booting into safe mode to run driver cleaner, then reboot regular and install new card drivers

Not yet letting the card burn-in for 24 hours ( thrashing it hard, just in case it goes bang) but the way the stock cooler is you don't really need to go aftermarket cooler.

My card is running at core 720, mem 2100 shader 1770 with the stock cooler at only 33%. and still pushing the clocks up. :eek:

Will wait till the weekend before I have chance to try the Accelero, and only then if I think I can get more with it .
