8800GT Stock?

Blimey. When I ordered my BFG OC2 on October 29th I really didn't expect to still be waiting by now. I think the only problem I have with a retailer taking my money in advance of shipping the goods (rather than a nominal deposit) is that, now that I paid them like, 3 weeks ago, what real incentive is there for them to make sure I get the thing speedily?

Still, I suppose this is the accepted way of things. I really only buy games and lesser goods online. It's not often I spend that sort of money on something, so I guess I was bound to be disappointed.
 
It is an oc version just don't think they should be offering next day delivery if they can't meet that business is business don't offer something which you cannot fulfill cutthroat but just my view if there's a big backlog say thursday as the delivery date and charge less simple as that.
I have never once ever bought hardware before 4pm on any site going and not got it the next day.
I have seen 2 days later on delivery options as they know they are busy and cannot guarantee next day so they dont have that as an option.
No shipped confirmation by 7pm = canceling for me on principal.
I am not paying £197 for a card on a 2-3 day delivery when i can wait and get one for a lot cheaper delivered next day when they have stock in.
Ok i guess seeing as they close at 5:30 pm i would have received a confirmation by now so there will be +1 tomorrow morning lads so get in early am canceling my order now.

Hi there

We've been shipping out 8800 GT's nearly every day for the last week or so.

Problem were having is they arrive and there is either not enough to clear backorders or when we do get enough to clear the backorders they are spotted in stock and sell very quickly.

We expect next week we shall see some real volumes come through and this week we are likely to see some EVGA, Gainward, OcUK, PNY and Point of View. They are arriving all the time, but 20's, 50's and quantity of 100 are just not cutting it. Were hopeful next week we shall see 1500+ arrive which will go a long way to clearing backlogs.
 
Dear Daniel Plantin, Thank you for your webnote. We were awaiting stock of the 8800 GT cards. These have just arrived and your order will be shipping out tomorrow. Regards, OcUK

I am gutted as could have bought elsewhere and got it tommorow. Oh well nothing I can do

The BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail of which there were 100 in stock today and I ordered at 1pm today. I was also verbally assured I would receive it tommorow, I am so dissapointed as I took day off work and paid over the odds, real poor.
 
If you don't like that cancel it as i have done, customer comes first they will sell it anyway so don't feel any guilt lol.
I am sure they don't intentionally offer next day and not meet that just a hectic time at the moment i personally am not prepared to pay a premium for a 2 or 3 day delivery is all though.only way i justified the £197 delivered price tag is that i would get it tomorrow no tomorrow no order for me.;)

Any update on BFG OC2s for this week? saw the OC version in stock today but was in school, so couldn't change the order :(
 
If nvidia never jumped the gun and released these cards knowing they would have a poor amount of numbers on release and for weeks after none of this would have happened. They seen the threat of the 3800 series and decided we better do something here but never thought about all the people that would be left dissapointed for weeks. I wonder what the release of the new gts is going to be like if they still can't get lots of these cards out into the market. I don't even think there strategy worked either as the 3800's seem to have sold like hot cakes.

yeah they had nothing to worry about either the 3800 series is no threat whatsoever

Did you not read the thread on the amount of 3800's for launch and if they all sold out then ati made a pretty penny. Think it was said they had 500,000 for launch day compared to 50,000 on the gt.

managed to snag a gigabyte card else where after attempting to change my original order 3 times lol wasnt my original choice but the way these cards are selling i feel actually finding one a minor miracle hehe :)

Last I heard from BFG is they hope to get 500 OC and 500 OC2 into ourselves by end of next week which will clear backlog of OC and just about clear backlog on OC2.

We might see some OC2 this week, but only 100pc but that is yet unconfirmed.

By end of next week things should be looking much better and come middle of December we hope to have nearly all products freely available and at more aggressive prices.
 
Someone sold a brand new EVGA 8800GT SSC on the bay for £350 yesterday. :eek::eek::eek: I thought it was stupidly expensive when it reached £249 at the weekend!! The person who bought it must have more money than sense. BFG versions are also selling for £229 and £250. :eek::eek::eek: Bloody madness.

Was very much hoping to get mine by this weekend, so I hope the 100pc do turn up
