8800GT Stock?

Hi there

You are jumping to a conclusion because your order was not shipped. We have a huge backlog of orders at the moment, which means that we have 8800 GT's still in our warehouse but they are assigned to orders such as yourself which will ship tomorrow.

Our website only shows freely available stock, if we actually showed the stock we had onsite in the warehouse it would cause huge issues. At the moment we have BFG, OcUK and Gainward 8800 GT's in stock but they all have orders assigned to them and as such they are not available to order as they are already taken by orders which we have not shipped yet due to backlog as in todays case or the stock is set aside for system builds or testing.

So website stock levels go down as orders are placed online. If we operated a system where website level did not go down until product was shipped then we'd always end up overselling, especially on weekends as no shipping happens then. I hope that makes sense!

Just to add to what has been said by Gibbo regarding anyone that ordered a BFG today I received a web note late this evening that said

Thank you for your webnote. We were awaiting stock of the 8800 GT cards. These have just arrived and your order will be shipping out tomorrow. Regards, OcUK

So looks like it will arrive on Thursday which while is not Wednesday is still pretty good considering I was about to buckle and buy a 3870! 8800 on Thursday is better than no 8800 GT at all in my book!:D

I just get paranoid when I see people who pre-ordered after me get theirs shipped before mine ggrrrr

I fully expect this is down to different courier pickup times etc. but it doesn't ease the conspiracy theories;)

If it's not sent tomorrow then I'll be rightly p**sed

HI there

No Crysis bundles have arrived yet at all. EVGA dragging their feet. :(

We've had a small amount of superclocks without the game, but thats it.

oh yeh i know they havnt arrived i was just trying to create a picture wether i will recieve mine when expected :p , using a 6200 and cant play cod4 or any good games untill it comes :(

Ok fair enough i will phone in morning and ask them not to cancel mine as i have already sent a webnote asking to cancel.
I was worried that all the cards had been used for the pre orders and us that ordered today would get them at anyones guess.
I am not happy paying £197 delivered though as i know it will be £150 in a matter of weeks new here but then that is up to me but i buy and pay that price through gritted teeth:D

Phone them tomorrow and ask.

Thanks for the update Gibbo. I'm wondering how confident you are on the 23rd date for the larger amount of OC and OC2. Personally I'm looking for the OC2 to come in, but my daily monitoring of their ETA has been a reoccurring date moved back or overdue. Due to this, I must admit my confidence in the dates set are a little wavered. I pre-ordered a considerable time ago, so I can only assume stocks of this card haven't even dribbled in, heh. Regardless, I'm sure you are always on their case, we all appreciate the pushing :)

Mine shows in warehouse queue, so from what Mr G said, I stand a chance of one being sent out to me tomorrow.

Must be a lot of wasted OCUK staff time with this GT launch what with all the tele calls and us ordering and then cancelling when batches come and go. Understandably though as its price at the moment will be it's highest.

I wonder if someone could clear this up for me. I paid £159.99+vat for the card today, expecting next day delivery. If OCUK don't get any in until say three or five days time and on that date the price has dropped to say £139.99+vat does my order change to the lower price? If that makes sense.

There's always the distance selling regulation if you are not happy can return any product if you are not satisfied within 7 working days for a full refund.
But then that's not really worth it as you lose £8 delivery to you + whatever it costs to send back.
I know where you are coming from though there is a potential for a lot of people paying £190+ for a gt then in 2 weeks them being £160 new for oc models.
As long as you are aware that this is going to happen and don't mind it's value decreasing so largely in such a short space of time i say go for it.

it currently says on the city link site for me;

Tracking History
19:34 Tuesday, November 20, 2007 On route to delivery branch
03:06 Wednesday, November 21, 2007 Arrived at Delivery Branch

does that mean it will get to me today at 3pmish lol

With regards to the BFG OC2 I received a reply to my webnote enquiry stating that they should be available towards the end of the week.

In fact it does now show 23/11 as the ETA...

I just hope that enough get in for me to get mine.....

It seems the 23rd - this Friday, there willb a big delivery coming in.
I sent them a webnnote about my EVGA Supcerclocked Crysis edition crd, and they sadi stock is arriving on the 23rd and they will dispatch as soon as possible

If you fall asleep you might miss the delivery man.:D

Oh yeh, didnt think of that :P

lame what shall i do now then? im afraid to go outside in case i miss it as well, but i really want to go buy a milkshake and a remote controled helicopter. i have a real bad hangover and a strawberry milkshake in a bowl of fruit and fibre is the only thing that can sort it out, its the best hangover cure in the world!! :D

I'd only just ordered my OC2 so I cancelled, as its obvious there won't be enough coming to work that far down the backlog in the next batch, and with me having to wait a while for a card anyway I may as well wait a couple of weeks longer and hope card pricing starts to return to more reasonable levels
