8800GT Stock?

Sider said:
its a tad annoying when you get things like that, as ive been waiting for my order since the 17th

I had been waiting since the 16th,

I got fed up with the delay, thats why I called them personally today and changed my order to include the OC2 rather than the EVGA SC which was being delayed time after time, this card was holding up my whole £600 order.

:D

Yay for OCUK! :D Only problem is my big order of my upgrade parts look like they won't ship till tomorrow. That's ok though, it was a big order and i'm quite happy i got the card i wanted.

Excellent work OCUK!

btw, consignment order tracking is now updating itself with shipping details to all those who are waiting ..

In other words you can now track your parcel using the supplied details you recieved .....

:D:D

Dunno but judging by the lack of an answer to my queries from Gibbo or anyone I gather mine is just not going to happen. Just gonna cancel tomorrow and get a refund.

I'm quite happy with my X1900XT to be honest, I'm only going for the Zotac because it was the best 8800GT (IE sub £250 card) in the test I saw.

And I do want an upgrade, so might as well go for something decent.

I can wait.

But not too long...

Rahter than get a refund and still be stuck with no GPU, why don't you just change to another brand? The non-OC are all the same and you can just OC the hell out of it yourself. I know it's not guaranteed to overclock then, but I've not seen anyone not be able to reach at least what the majority of the pre-OC are offering.

EVGA should be given a huge slap some how for their stupidity

I think they are struggling to get many of their cards reaching their overclock levels.

Same has applied to BFG and Zotac.

I had a Zotac on pre-order from the 30th October and cancelled it after the third time it slipped and the competitor is now saying 3rd January 2008 for stock

Ocuk did well to get 40 of them in tbh.

I can see BFG OC2 being in short supply for some time as well.

These 8800GT aren;t clocking as well as the first batch of card IMO. I think production is getting sloppy as they rush to get them out.

My BFG won't clock to Zotac Amps speed and neither will C64's.

If you look in these forums and others you will find many people who can't match the Zotac Amps stock speed or the Asus or the EVGA SCC.

So I can't blame somebody for wanting one especially since the AMP is no more or less money than a lot of people's stock or slightly oc'd cards.

If I had known ocuk were going to get some in 2 days after I got a BFG I would have waited. I cancelled my 3 week pre-order for an AMP with a competitor cause I wouldn't wait until 3rd January for stock.

the 30th is when i originally had the EVGA SC ordered from OCUK

and changed it too the OC2 last friday

there are also more OC2's in this week the 28th so if BFG can do it why can EVGA not

Maybe too many people ordered EVGA SC. Gibbo has confirmed he has received some of these and shipped them out. Just not enough for the pre-orders.

HI there

You've not been lied too.

I've found your order number from your forums name on our system and it turns out that one of the sales lads who changed your order from an EVGA to BFG made a mistake by not actually confirming the order and as such it was left on hold.

We've now looked into this and we've personally taken your order into the warehouse, packed it ourselves and put it on the van. Now its down to the van driver getting to the depot in time before the trunker arrives.

Also the MD of OcUK has left a message on your phone explaining and endeavouring we will do everything in our power to get the order to you for tomorrow. We can only apologise for the mistake that caused your order to be put on hold, but its now fixed and all been well your card will arrive tomorrow. The whole OcUK purchasing department, systems guys and MD are all here still packing orders at nearly 8pm tonight and considering we all started at 8am we really are trying our best here to provide only the best service. :)

Respect!

Tbh I think everyone needs to chill the **** out. It's a graphics card people, not an organ for transplant. :)

not so easy to say when u have many games waiting to be played and waited a month already

not any fault of OCUK of course

Very true! I've just ordered Crysis and Call of Duty 4 in one go on impulse after ordering a GeForce 8800GT! - that's over £200 already. XD  Hope my current spec is up to the job.
