8800GTS 320MB Results so far....

I get 10069 with an E6600 @ 3.2GHZ, 2GB of ram and the card at 600/1900. So you are in the right area but I would have thought your card clock would get you a bit more.

Hey guys,

Had mine for a couple of days and have noticed that the outside of my case is getting a bit warm approximately where the GPU is.

I downloaded the nTune software to get the temperature at its running at 66C at idle. Is this OK or a bit high ?

Any ideas would be great.

I'm very tempted to have a go @ that, see if i can squeeze a little bit more from the card

currently the i can get a max of 670 from the core (700 just locks up in 3dMark) & 1050 from the mem :D

although i am tempted to procure a water block as i got a swiftech water cooling setup lying in the cupboard :eek:
 
Ha now im even more impressed with the card :D

I was wondering why Loadsa was talking about oblivion running super super smooth with AA enabled, I just couldnt work it out cos it ran great but was slow at parts, the thing is I had a second HDD installed, the thing is tho its clearly screwed. I just replaced that drive yesterday and all of a sudden everything is running better :D

I think it much have been a resource hog somehow as I couldnt even install windows on it, totally borked! Anyways needless to say I am now even more impressed with the card.

Done a quick test with Fear with 4xAA and 16x AF enabled and the minimum FPS was 40 :eek: cant remember off the top of my head the average but it was way over the 100 mark! :D
 
I just wish Nvidia would get the Vista x64 drivers sorted. I will often get a BOSD and the Pc will reboot when playing games at High Res. I thought it may be my overclock so I backed it all off to stock - No difference whatsoever. I just get this 'device stuck in driver' error. Couldn't be more obvous that the drivers are poo.....

Shame :( I hope they get this sorted soon

Got that problem last night when playing the stalker multiplayer :(

It looks not bad, the lighting is really top notch but performance sucks in Vista and I got the super BSOD :D NVidia's vista drivers still suck very much so but their XP ones are really good just now.

I love havingn both xp and vista on diff hdd's! Gonna try the C&C 3 demo tonyte :D
 
Just got my 8800 GTS 320MB (EVGA SuperClocked one though) Sitting in its box right now along with my 6300, 2gb ocz pc6400 :D

As i haven't got a chance to build the system yet, i'll just say...goddamn its huge compared to the X850 XT i have atm!! At least it'll fill some of the mass of the Akasa Eclipse now! (Knew i bought it for a reason (the case))

Looking forward to getting it all built up in the next few days and testing some of the stuff i've not been able to run!! :D

lol, thanks, new pants on standby, will prob need a set when building it too, as much as i know what i'm doing and confident about that, playing with £600+ of someone else's pc is a lot less nerve wrecking hehe :D
