I doubt it, because next week the 8xxx series comes out, which is far better, and the quad cores are delegated to i3 level and prices

Panos where is your testing of 8700K to show what your saying??

I have yet to see even one screen shot showing anything you say is correct in your own testing???

they also run hotter.... a good lot hotter i7 7700k is a cooler chip - de-lid even cooler

Mid to late 70s with 1.4 or so vcore 5g none avx prime 95 blend on 240mm aio.

Those numbers are actually quite impressive o.o. Has that been the average case across the board? or can people realistically expect to see higher?

I wouldn't mind a 7700k delidded at 5Ghz, but I got a 7600k already which I delid myself, it reaches 5.1 no issues and fairly low volts. I guess if prices drop as Coffee lake is available and these are phased out I might buy it, it unfortunately won't be a worthy upgrade at the moment
