8Pack super fast smash the rest i5 Skylake Overclocked, Discounted killer GAMING bundle.

I ran it when I tested power draw. But did not upload the screens. Can do that tomorrow. I am sure it was 730-740pts.

Well that's me all set up and overclocked using your settings, I ran into a few problems along the way and wondering if you could help me please....pretty please :)

The main problem is SATA ports 1 and 2 are not working so it seems, I've had to put my SSD and DVD drive on SATA 3 and 4, This is before flashing and overclocking, I was nearly tearing my hair out trying to install windows.

I had to install windows 7 twice as the first time it corrupted with in 10mins....any reason for this?

So if you have any advice on how to get SATA 1 and 2 to work that would be great otherwise I may have to send the board back.

any advice is appreciated.

hmmm no reason at all. I have no issue with this at all. SATA ports are locked at 100blk on this platform as is PCI X frequency. My guess is RAM issue if u have corruption. Test this first.

It's all fine now, I had a little crash this morning, something about timing of writing to 2nd core was delayed/out of sync. I was only watching iplayer. I've upped voltage to 1.38v and testing.

The problem with the SATA ports was before overclocking. I'll run a memtest now.

Memtest came back with no errors, Is there a setting in the bios that's affecting the SATA ports? If I can't get them working i'll need to send the board back maybe? I've got 3 other HDD's to install yet.

Oh and another thing, Where is the floppy cable on the eVGA G2 750W I can't seem to find it, Which stops me from installing my ASUS D2X.

It's ok, googled pictures and when I knew what I was looking for a found the cable on the floor lol

Any chance of posting up those R15 results? I noticed you posted your world record 4 core in the R15 thread. ;)

right now I'm having a really big problem with the motherboard, If I restart the system then the PC will not post, I have to do a hard shut down and then start the system up again for the bios to post.

Can you help me with this or do I have to Rma the motherboard, The problem is still there with everything a stock settings as well.

Decided to replace venerable 2500K @4.4 with this bundle (+Thermal Grizzly

Definite CPU improvements, GTX 970 looks to be already limiting some results on 2500K, 6400 should do well with next gen card in 2016.
CPU stays much cooler than 2500K, <50C after 1 hour prime95 (reported by AI Suite 3/HWMonitor), can also feel exhaust air just isn't hot. Brocken 2 seems to be doing a great job cooling, also very quiet.

Only issue so far was default Windows sleep setting, causing system to become unresponsive when it goes to sleep and hard reset reqd, turned this off.

My basket had been up to twice the price of this bundle, but as OCUK guarantee the overclock and using existing sound card, decided no point me spending more for gaming, saving it for nice next gen GPU.
Thanks! :)

I never saw this issue in testing. But if the issue remains at stock the issue could be ram or MB. Any other symptoms seen?? I am back in work Monday to test this out and try to replicate.

Great results. I will test this waking from sleep issue but as all power saving is disabled I am not surprised u see this. Will try find issue and fix.
