Jesus, im getting inundated with orders already, anyone want a job!!! :eek:

Be quick in buying, once Nvidia get wind im undercutting em, they'll no doubt force me to close down with legal action.

Never listen to Shocky though. He's a known fan boy. I'd rather use an iron for a pillow than listen to his views when it comes to graphic card manufacturers. He only praises Nvidia.

I agree re. clocks, the shader performance should be excellent, memory bandwidth though even at 2500 will surely be lower than the 8800GTX due to memory bus, even though the so called optimized compression is supposed to make some ground up

Since xmas theres loads of people bought the OCUK 8800GTX for same price as the 9800GTX is, given it's same performance at stock but apparently clocks much higher then an 8800GTX, draws less power and is "newer" even if not technically, then it does make the remaining stock of 8800GTX maybe difficult to sell unless they go to £200 though

If I were building a new rig now, it'd come down to whether I went 22" or 24+"

<24" and I'd go 8800GT or 8800GTS-512
24+" and I'd go 9800GTX + good o/c if about £225 unless 8800GTX was sub £190ish, maybe have to spend more time thinking about it if I was one for using 8AA/16AF where I'm sure the 8800GTX would still be better ?

Aye, if the last 8800GTX's go for £200 what a deal :D
Am assuming 9800GTX will come down a little in 3-4 wks so if theres any 8800GTX left at end of April surely they'll have to drop to £200 ?

Ive just realised now why Nvidia have released this card, its not to be bought no, its to increase sales of their cheaper 8800 GTS's, and get the last of their GTX/Ultra's snapped up (as they must have a fair few left). :)

The 8800GT/GTS and 9800GTX are all G92 based. The original 8800GT/GTS/GTX were all G80.

There wasn't a original 8800GT along with a GTS and GTX

It ws 320mb GTS 640MB GTS

8800 GT is a 92 core
