The answer is YES, someone last week went on and on about the ATI X2 gonna be beating all cards inc the 2 new Nvidias (infact multiple peeps seemed to think it would be faster).

Now you can read many threads about how its drivers to blame and ATI will 2 fold performance with new drivers real soon. ;)

Funny cause i dont recall that, we all know the gts is quicker than the 3870 by a good margin so 2 bolted together obviously would be faster than x2 on games that properly support sli.
 
Does anyone thing 2xGX2's for quad gpu support is going to suck ?

I currently have 2x8800gtx's (ocuk jobs) and am thinking of adding a 3rd for Tri-Sli seeing as prices are dropping. I wonder how this would compare to a quad gpu GX2 setup. I expect like the quadfire X2 setup, the 4th gpu would not be used much at all currently.
 
Whens OCUK going to stock these?? i see they already have a 9800 section on the website. if they are priced at 300quid i would be very interested, but if they are 400quid imo thats way overpriced as they are technically not much new, as in not a new gpu at heart.

Must admit I do recall someone giving credence to the 3870x2 potentially being on par or faster.

No chance in hell they will be 300 quid Im afraid mate, prices out in europe are over 500 euro.

If they are around 350 I will buy one, closer to 400 then Im off to the land of 3870x2+3870

And again, your licence will be void. MS have already said that simply obtaining an activation key, either via the 'net or phone, doesn't not automatically infer validity on your licence. If you lie to them to get the key then your licence is still void.

If you're going to pirate Windows then that's your business but please don't kid yourself that a paid-for copy on which the licence terms have been voided is in any way "more legit" than any other pirated copy.

Well I DO recall it, not that it makes the slightest difference to the fact they were an ATI Fanboy. ;)

Hey, Lets get 1 thing straight, I do know how MS work I do offical testing for them for years,

And if your Mobo DIE fry or you build a new Rig using a crappy buggy Mobo like the NForce 6/7's then after X weeks of hell you decide to RMA it and get a better Mobo, MS will accept that, FACT.

Its not cheating them and if it was I bet you use Warez same as all others so get of highhorse.

I aint telling him to do anything, just stating a FACT you can buy OEM Windows with Hardware build A and change to hardware build B on OEM versions of Windows for certain LEGIT reasons.

And 99% of the OEM's sold aint even sold entirely legitly (loophole).

I wouldn't be so quick to presume everyone uses Warez mate.

I started purchasing licenses as soon as I left uni and got a job.

If its to me, then go and reread my post to him, its worded carefully and its a fact most peep have used Warez at some point end of.

My post to the OEM+change of Mobo is 100% legit.

Yeh your right with most of your facts, But they are checking up on people because I was one of the unlucky ones who got sued by microsoft (£1200) for OEM licence so now I have to be really carefully now as i'm in there Bad books ;) So if do upgrade from a Xfire board to a SLi Board I think I would have to get a new copy of Vista too :(

But I think I would take my chances and say it just broke :D
 
Example, 4weeks or so ago I bought a Striker II, imagine I bought OEM Vista with it. (I didnt I got free copy from them on day 1 of RTM).

Fastforward to now, Im on a different Mobo cause I had a bellyfull of the above.

Do you really think MS expect me to buy a new OEM Vista ?.

Answer is no, call them up, talk to them, they will help.
