if those are software readings and not external hardware readings you might as well throw them out the window as they arnt correct.
Well it prob doesnt use a lot of power when not being stressed, but then the same can be said for any cpu.
I also doubt many will buy a 9900ks, overclock it even more and run it at a third of its capabilities most of the time.

I have 185w at the wall from my socket meter but that includes two pumps and nine fans, five 140mm and four of them 200mm.
according to the hardware readings off the corsair 850i rails i was using last week the software readings are very accurate, on these latest chips at least.
i expect the division 2 readings i will take tomorrow will be far higher.
Just ignore him - many of the best reviewers use software readings for tempreture and power draw. It's obviously pretty damn accurate. Out of interest, I don't think I've ever seen a "omg my 9900k is overheating while gaming" thread. But I have certainly seen those threads with the 3900x & 3700x lol.
no they dont and if they do, they shouldn't. since he is using software from the PSU and pulling readings from the PSU (HARDWARE) it is likely accurate, but using say HWinfo for example to read power draw will not give you accurate readings.Just ignore him - many of the best reviewers use software readings for tempreture and power draw. slightly off the topic of power draw,
I see some rumoured pricing has come up on this chip today. is looking to be around the £600ish mark by the looks of it so far.
600$
Intel never like to drop prices and bring the 9900ks down to 9900k would mean a perma price drop on the 9900kslightly off the topic of power draw,

I can’t talk about the 3700x as I have a 3900x but in my own testing on my machine vs my friends both with top 2080ti is nearly next to no difference between us. Not going into intel ba amd argument me dropping 4 cores for the recommended fastest gaming chip is not worthwhile and I do t imagine the 3700x is to far of my 3900x in games so I doubt it worth the massive price difference. The price difference between the 2 could mean buying the next tier up of graphic card if you buying both the difference between 2070 and 2080 for instanceSo, about double the price of a 3700X.
For gaming, I'm wondering if that's really worth it at all...
600 are they for real, might just go for the i9900k now and see if I get lucky, robbing gits.
600$
No one is going to buy it as evident from the poll at https://www.techpowerup.com/259595/intel-core-i9-9900ks-to-cost-around-usd-600
But probably that's the idea
