I've just installed the 64 bot mod so I can practice. The bots are actually pretty good in the jets so it's similar to online except you can always use the jet. I'm starting to see where I'm going wrong so I would recommend it if you're having problems. What I'm doing at the moment is just tailing enemy jets and using the cannon to take them out. I don't plan on doing that online much but it really helps with the tracking. My manoeuvring to lose jets on my tail needs much work though.

Ahh ma harty's. I suggest triyng the Battlefield pirates mod, personally for me it is the best mod i have played out of the lot, so much fun.

Hey Sniffy - mind mentioning which 64 bot mod exactly you have ?

I've try BF2SP64 but that still only allows 16 player maps as far as I can tell and the other mod I have is bf2modify which allows single player on the 64 player size maps but you can't seemingly mix the two to get 64 bots on a 64 player size map in SP ...

Is there something I am missing or can't this be done?
 
Does Project Reality mod still mean everyone queing for the jets? I find the jets kinda ruin the game somewhat as a lot of people are just to good with them now to the point where helicopters are pointless and a tank in open space wil get bombed on after a minute.
Hope the next version gets around this jet ganking. The rest of the game is still very balanced when in ground only map.
 
Well got back into the game after a few years out of it and as usual the trick is finding the friendly team orientated and non cheating servers. Was on a server yesterday and i know after many years of playing CS when someone is wall hacking. It's such a shame this still goes on. What is the point of punkbuster if it doesnt stop the cheats!!
Can anyone recommend some good servers where u dont encounter cheats?

No just need to read the rules and it gives the password there. The paying part just gives priority if the server becomes full.

The CSS server is passworded on weekends only I think

yea im also very interested in this, i tried some bfsp 1.03 or something but that did nothing :p and there was some other mod but its 120mb and the only reason i want to play the 64 playermaps on SP is because im on 56k at this house for a few weeks so want to get some flying in :p
 
Right I have just installed BF2 and looking at getting the v1.4 patch BUT I have Special Forces here and I know it used to be a bit of a sod for getting it installed/patch. Is there some special magic order?
