In your bf2 shortcut properties add +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +1 widescreen +szx 1920 +szy 1200 after ....exe" .

It forces it to run at 1920x1200, its not true widescreen.

I think it stil looks great considering it came out 4 odd years ago
 
Quite frankly this game will never get old. I've lost count of how many times I've said I'm not gonna play this anymore, yet a few days later, go back and get hooked again.

I think despite all the bugs and shortcomings of BF2, the concept of just having a fully fledged modern battlefield to play in will always offer something new for all players, new and old.

I'm using it although its considered a hack Evenbalance (makers of punkbuster) and EA have unofficially said its ok.

Neat little program for those few games which cant get the widescreen perspective right on their own.
 
bf2 is still the best online multiplayer game by far...only on pc..console versions are not very good apart from battlefield bad company,that is quite good,but the control of a ps3 pad is rubbish unless you buy "XIM"

Anyway that was June 2005 and still playing it all be it on the PR Mod….I dropped the vanilla out the box version as its really kiddie time to play for me now that I’ve played PR. I’d love to work out the hours played to cost……must be like 0.0000001p a round or something never had Value for money like it. Only reason BF1942 got dropped was for BF2 but I do still miss the fantastic dog fights from BF1942…..

I`m with you on this one mate as well. Still play it weekly. (And I have a mini as well..LOL )
 
I have according to my stats played this game online for over a 110 hours. So i would definatly say its worth getting :p

I remember getting it when it was released, and my geforce ti4200 was not up to the task of playing the game. And upgraded to the ati 9550. Happy days :o

Ive played 510:57:32 hrs according to my stats :eek:
 
Wow bald-eagle, thats some hefty bf2ing there!

I love the game, but im not sure i love it enough to get all the medals & ribbons! :eek:

I might give PR a go at some point too, it does look quite good
