So you play an SF game then the weapons become available for unlocking for that account regardless of whether you're playing SF or the standard game?

Yep they just unlock to your account, doesn't matter if you never own sf, you are still able to get the 5 extra unlocks.

Are you sure, i know that the af and ef expansions were in the last patch but i still see sf on sale.

You might be right. I thought it was included in the 1.50 patch but it might be that it was included in the steam version I've got.

LIked AIX when i had it, and playing Project Reality again. Eve of Destruction was mucho fun too.

Still lovin bf2 (enrolled on 2005-06-16 18:30:00), been in 2 clans, and just shy of captain

Amazing how bland this game looks compared to bf3. Still I think it was the last really decent battlefield game.

Has its flaws certainly but still fun, especially with a good squad on the Panda Nation and 2F4Y servers. A lot more maps (with spread out flags, less chokepoints) and more vehicles (types and map spawns) than BF3 too.

Besides, it isn't as though BF3 is without hitreg\netcode\balance issues. DICE can't quite manage to eliminate them for some reason.

The audio is better in bf3, not yet sure the gameplay is superior. bf3 is bc3 really

The expansions are free to all for bf2, I guess they dont mind if you buy them anyway

Does this game still have people playing? I bought it on Steam around Christmas time for £20 and never really played it because it seemed a bit dead.

There are several good 64-man servers online that are mostly full, or at least there were when I was on earlier (and that's with my filters enabled). In addition to the ones already mentioned, TAF's servers are well moderated, located in the UK and there are rules against the usual unsporting behaviour (teamkilling, baseraping etc).
