Thanks for reply, I've pretty much done all of the above, with the one exception of installing the 1.01 patch aswell just to be sure, but I haven't tried skipping and going straight for 1.02, would that make a difference?geeza said:im using onboard (nf7-s v2) and it works fine. the following might sort it
remove BF2, profiles and anything battlefield in regedit.
uninstall Nvmixer
uninstall NVIDIA drivers -just sound driver
restart
update cats to latest
restart
sound should be detected -install drivers and nvmixer
restart
install BF2 and 1.2 patch then 1.3
play
may work may not, its more or less what i had to do. I used to be able to play with high textures but now its a slideshow at the start. but ive also been trying to get it going with my audigy2zs so have tried about 10 different drivers sets with it. then disabling and enabling things in bios, assigning irq's to different slots.
works ok now though with 1.3 patch and onboard sound in medium textures (no jerk o vision)
spec is the following-
NF7-S rev2
2x1gb geil value
2400xp@2145mhz (195x11)
9800pro@411core, 351mem
a £22 case/psu combo, with metal hanging out
(legally used i think
)
