Essentially, they have tweaked the weapon characteristics, made loads of new maps with new vehicles and set a new scenario for the storyline. It works really well, and I'm playing this exclusively, rather than vanilla BF2.

Is POE ranked, as BF2? or will playing it not affect the BF2 stats?

I expected nothing more from 2142 than the same game just repackaged with a few bells & whistles and slight 'enhancements'. It's all about the money.

It's not ranked. To be honest, I'm less interested in the points as I am a good game.

What game browser is everyone using at the moment. Since 1.3 I cannot use ASE and therefore I cannot find any multiplay servers anymore apart from the odd one here and there?

I'm using the normal in game server list.
I can always find Multiplay servers by searching there. :confused:

Best upgrade you can do is SA80.
Medium damage 34points, has a scope for snipering, is very accurate.
2nd choice would be L95 sniper rifle, as this can do 95% damage.

So am I but can only find 2 at the most and they are like 16 player servers usually or have about 3 peeps in them.................

Must be something up wth the stats.

For some reason it can take up to 48 hours from servers to EA stats to get the stats up dated.
Some servers i have been on it has been few minutes, others just under 48 hours !

I do not know why though ! ! ! :confused:

hey guys, ive a quick question regarding awards etc.

I was wondering if you can get to your accounts awards/medals/ribbons online in a downloadable format ie spreadsheet?

Its just ive only got 3 medals (bronze, silver and gold), all but 6 medals and 8 ribbons. I want to be able to compare what ive got with what i need without tabbing in and out of the game all the time and having to write/type it all down.

Also, when you click on a medal or badge it comes up with a description but not for the ribbons! this just me?

EDIT: and what does IAR mean regarding badge requirements?

Have you looked at how it is presented on BF2S.com?
It might be better for you than the BF2 presentation.

IAR = means In Any Round
ie if basic pistol badge is 5 kills IAR, therefore you must kill 5 badguys in one map round / game / session.

Quite agree, it is all about money ! ! !
I always feel that if a game is good the public will buy it and the money will flow. Just rebadging a simular game is just an exploit of loyal gamers.

I think we need more kits & weapons for BF2 to keep it alive for the future life of the game.

I have only been playing BF2 for about 3 weeks but i have to agree. I see a lot of addons being released or in development but no new content for the ones currently out.

Im hoping this changes as im not the type to buy new addons i tend to stick with the game i like such as BF2 and hope for new content. It just seems sily to have so many different mods.

I have plenty of work to do to earn all badges, ribbons, unlocks and ranks but for the people who have already done this i can only feel they need the new content more than me and sooner.

Im enjoying playing this but notice some people have guns that I dont have. Are these unlocks or are they from expansion packs? (Or both?)

If so which expansion packs are worth getting?

I liked the look of the special forces one but didnt get it due to the problems they had installing it. Is it worth getting any or waiting for the new future one to come out?

Yes the weapons people are using are unlocks. You will get the option to unlock a weapon each time you get promoted.

I have SF but have not tried it yet so i cannot comment on that.

When you get so many points, you can move up the ranks.

With the expansion pack Special Forces, you get more unlocks available to you to unlock in BF2 itself.

Special Forces seems to be the most popular played too, worth buying even if you need to reinstall BF2 and all the patches too. But its really no big deal to get it running.

Check out various BF2 stats sites. You can also access your stats via the "BF2HQ" on the BF2 menu.

These are my stats, try your own player ID to check your own.

So if i buy the SF one then I have to uninstall the whole game and reinstall it over again?

Can you buy it as a download?
