A Nightmare On Elm Street - First teaser online

Hmmm looks ok-ish...personally i prefer the original nightmare movie...one of the scariest movies ive ever seen...think i was about 14 when i watched it the first time....the sequels after the original one never lived up to the hype.

Although i do hope that this remake is as good as the first original one but i doubt...still cant wait to see it though.

In regards to Michael Bay producing, it could be worse, he could be directing it ;)

To be honest, as soon as I saw his name, a little bit of hope died inside.

He will also be the man who completely raped Transformers. He puts his name behind 2nd rate horror too.

Looks like any other horror movie coming out of Hollywood these days. Nothing but cashing in on popular franchise. Theres nothing wrong with the original movie. Theres no need for a remake.

Michael Bay has a company that churn out a lot of horror movies now, he has produced quite a few. A sequel to friday 13th has been announced and a remake of the birds is in development.

I have to disagree. It did scare the pants off me for years, but after watching it again recently I found it laughably bad. It's such a shame as I have very fond memories of this movie.

For the time it was made in, it was a huge success. Of course its going to age, just like everything ages. This remake doesn't look to add anything new to the horror franchise.

Well made films still look good and solid despite their age. Take the likes of Alien, Terminator, Bladerunner, all are 20-25+ years old but with the exception of a few odd scenes still look fantastic.

Maybe it won't add anything new, I don't mind. As I said a few months back about the Alien prequel, i'd rather have a excellent/good/bad/awful new alien/freddy film than no alien/freddy film at all :)

Damn this movie gave me nightmares when I was younger, I never dared to go back and watch it again till this day :o Not usually a fan of horror movies but I'll check this out.

in the original were the victim runs up the stairs and they brake exposing some glue or somit to stop them from running off

i had nightmares about that myself for ages

trailer looks ok, nothing to shout about though
