I should have made it clear,

but apple did try to stop jail breaking via the court, apple won then it got overturned

So do you think they are making there hardware more secure and harder to jailbreak?

Apple wouldn't have had the logic of "well now Jailbreaking is legal, we will go out of our way to make sure its harder to Jailbreak just to give a big "FU" to joe public".

Although when selecting the jailbreak icon on the phone I'm currently getting a "Error when connecting to the database" message... Must be getting hit pretty crazy

Yeah it's just been released for the mac first - then Windows version will shortly follow.

I've just read that if you are getting an error when trying to connect to the database when using the jailbreak icon, that you should go into the Settings and turn on VPN for it to jailbreak.

I can confirm this has worked, and I am now running my iPhone 4S jailbroken
