Democrats really need to put through a basic bill to ensure abortion rights for the first trimester and medical issues at least. Then allow states to decide further than that.

It would have wide support in the population and if Republicans block it they might get some blowback in November particularly from the suburban mom vote.

If it goes through then the matter can be considered settled from both sides and its one less wedge issue for the Republicans

Biden could have done something already as an executive order, instead he's playing best pals with all the hip people at G7, probably discussing how they can squeeze the Americans for even more money and restrict them even further.

I'm just posting here to say I'm amazed at how there is so many people here whom are advocating for removing women's rights. I expect with these people and the current Cons it will likely happen here too, any excuse for them to screw up more peoples lives.
On what basis do you come to the conclusion that the Conservatives are likely to repeal the Abortion Act or successor laws? There is pretty broad support for the current arrangements and I'm aware of no meaningful minority agitating for change.

That's why it's been overturned though isnt it?the SC has seemed it governmental overreach and it's should be a state issue.

As to any individual wanting to change legislation at a state level, well anyone with pockets deep enough will do, how else do you think career politicians build up personal wealth of hundreds of millions. As to if a state will change its stance on abortion I would assume the only way that will happen is if the state flips from red to blue or visa versa.

No its been overturned because the SC is now controlled by evangelical Christians and they were chosen to be on the SC to do exactly what they have done, overturn Roe. Now they will proceed with the rest of their religious agenda, imposing their religious beliefs on the citizenship. This has taken 49 years of planning and they've finally succeeded.

Do what by EO? The best he could do is open up federal land to planned parenthood and similar organisations to open clinics, even that would likely be challenged in the courts. He can't just write EO and change anything he wants.

The rest of your post is nonsense. Its not like the G7 don't have lots going on with worldwide inflation and a major war in Europe to talk about

How about taking some personal responsibility and not have sex? Ensure they are taking contraception? (yes I'm well aware condom's fail and the pill/IUDs aren't perfect, hell my ex was on the pill when my son was conceived). Not sure on the failure rate when using both forms of contraception though.

The number of abortions were falling year on year in the US anyway.

Vasectomy is reversible - so lets cut off sperm production until the boy is a responsible adult that can support said human life.

It really does show progress is not linear, the irony is women way back when had more rights, until all the evangelical/catholic ******** came along. And I like all the semantic arguments about is it life when is it life, to trick people. They don't matter, its the women that has to carry it through all 9 months and look after it forever after, to put it bluntly your disgusting if your advocating for forcing her to go through all that against her will.
Actually it is more likely the left leaning parties in this country who enjoy interfering in people's lives and the Liberal Democrats are not liberal like they were when introducing the Abortion act in 1967. There is little to no chance of a ban on abortion rights in this largely secular country anyway now. Religion is largely toast.

IIRC executive orders can be overturned by the courts, as I believe Trump found, and given the court makeup it would ne inevitable.

From what I understand several states are facing challenges to their implementation of their forced birth laws, in at least one it seems that a court has basically agreed at least for now with a complaint that it wasn't sure what the restrictions were because they'd passed a bunch of these laws in readiness for the Supreme Court to remove women's rights, as part of their "see we're the party of pro life (until you're born, then **** off freeloader)" agenda so there are contradictions in them as they are stating certain things are ok in one law then in another that they're not.

As is tubal ligation for women, both should be explained in more detail in secondary school sex education.

Both should be mandatory at birth and only restored when you have proved your allegiance to the leader and their glorious regime.

Tubal ligation is notably more invasive.

except its not.

from your own link the success rate at 14 years after surgery is 50%, which is on par with regular getting pregnant sex anyway

whereas :

is a lot more permanant.

There are none of them.
Where do you get your lies from?

I'll wait for your answer.

one question that we should all ask our selfs, when do you that think or believe that life starts?
This is a questioned I asked myself once and at the time I was very much it’s the women choice. I changed my opinion on this subject after asking myself that question, what was also the around the time I become a father myself.
There has to be compromise, somewhere in the debate, hence why I think here in the U.K. we have a good time limit. Allows the women to see a doctor, think it over and to discuss it with the potential father? (If they choice to do so)
