Abramovich & Chelsea + a bit of Everton

Hopefully this leads to reforms in the league.

What happens to Man City and PSG when their nations go to war.

The UAE are supporting Saudi Arabia in their bombing of Yemeni civilians. Fortunately for Saudi and the UAE, the west doesn't care about Yemen so we're turning a blind eye. Who knows if or when that might change and it would explain why Amanda Staveley today stated that she was felt bad for Abramovich being forced into selling Chelsea.

The public face of one murderous regime sympathising with another dubious individual who would have thought it

I just don’t understand how we became the moral arbiters on what is a just war and what isn’t. It’s not like we have a good recent track record ourselves. Same with America and who they back or supply arms to.

Football fans all of a sudden in favour or such sanctions against Roman, it’s purely tribal. Like their billionaire owners made money in a 100% clean and perfect world scenario. Be honest you just like seeing and hoping this screws Chelsea. Yet we all would have been happy to have a owner bring the level of success he did while seemingly happy to offload that dirty money without worrying too much about balancing the books.

Find the posts from Arsenal fans wanting Usmanov out for having dirty money. No the fans anted the yank out and him to buy the whole club to put more money in. Same with Everton fans, never heard a single voice of opposition.

If Liverpool were taken over by the likes that own Chelsea and Newcastle I’d want my club to fold. Not everyone is in favour.

Exactly this, I'd stop supporting my football club and walk away from football. Unfortunately in today's climate the vast majority of football fans only care about spending X amount of millions on a player, they don't care about where the money comes from.

I miss it a lot how the league used to be. Going to games in the 90's was easy. Now it costs a fortune if you can get a ticket. Forget about going to a cup final. Football always used to be a working man's sport. Now it is complete opposite.

I find myself more and more watching the Championship as that is what it used to be like.

Also Roman's money might be dodgy but it is just as dodgy as our owners who bought the club on debt and leech it dry.

Re the first sentence, you're actually just watching Utd Adam. They just play like a Championship side these days.

And you cannot be serious with that last sentence. While it might be difficult for football supporters to accept as we don't see ourselves as customers of a business, purchasing a business with debt is a perfectly legal and legitimate. While football clubs ideally shouldn't be allowed to be purchased with debt, it's a hell of a long way down the list on things football club owners shouldn't do or can't be in relation to your Abramovich's and Saudi states, who are using football clubs as political tools to launder their image.

Cry me a river, it was a moment of respect for the people of Ukraine and the dumb ***** couldn’t keep there mouths shut. Outstanding whataboutism there.

Whataboutism lmao. Youre moaning about another teams fans yet you celebrated a murdering tyrant taking over yours. Stop being a hypocrite.
