Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2012, Yas Marina - Race 18/20

Indeed they are. The difference is that the Caterhams, Marussias and HRTs get out of the way of everybody, but the Toro Rossos only get out of the way of Red Bulls. If you don't see why this is a problem, and why it is bad for the sport, then I don't know what to say.

Indeed, I remember the fuss when the Sauber's used to move out the way for MS but hold JV as long as possible :D

I remember the Torro Rosso jumping out the way for Webber at Abu Dhabi in 2010 yet Alonso had to work for it.

Massa being told to get out of Alonso's way (when it was illegal), Massa being held back from passing Alonso when he was quicker, Webber being told not to fight Vettel and most recently Webber being told to get out of Vettels way and then boxed when he didn't is all OK with you?

It's all part of the game. Perhaps Ferrari and McLaren should pull on the ties they have with lower teams more?

Your acting as if the Toro Rosso getting out of the way was the first and only time its ever happened.

Yeah cause team mates being told things is the same. Skeeter is just arguing for the sake of it now when he compares team mates with 2 different teams working together.

Now what do you all think? Does it represent a certain level of unsophistication not being able to articulate yourself and having to use swear words?
Or just simply perhaps they are still buzzing on adrenalin and the tongue is a little looser?

This..

Its a live global broadcast shown before the watershed in a lot of countries, they should be expected to restrain their language in the same way as anyone else on TV should.

As amusing as I found it, its good that the FIA are clamping down on it.

I wouldn't take my son to a football game because I don't want him to hear the abuse thrown around like it's normal. I don't feel the need to show him a bunch of animals that can't control themselves.

F1 drivers are not doing it due to the buzz and adrenalin, they are doing it because they think it's cool. There was a media uproar and backlash in this country when Rooney swore in the direction of a tv camera.

Boxers manage to conduct themselves well enough despite punching the pap out of each other for (60 seconds in Khans case ;)) 10 rounds.

I always hear that same line "they hear worse in the playground" only from kids who parents haven't bothered or don't care teaching their kids some decency and manners. Kids just react and adapt to what they are told is accepatable. I don't want my son hearing Vettel drop the **** on a sunday afternoon while he's playing with his octonauts :D

Planet F1 has some quality theories for this.

yeah i quite like the mass damper one, it sort of makes sense to my tiny mind but i'm not clever enough to know if its plausible or not, certainly seems a cool idea and must be very complex to work out if true. the super slow mo of the wing bouncing as the car rides the kerbs is mesmorizing, it almost looks like its bouncing and twisting in time with the motion of the wheel on the kerbs, but is it making the pieces fit the puzzle or not!.

Lets not forget how Ferrari and McLaren made sure eveything that made the RB7 so dominant was banned by the FIA, some of it half way through a season. Imagine FIFA saying half way through a season that if a goal wasnt scored from at least 25 yards it dont count! Crazy rule change half way through a season, wouldnt happen. Get Twatmarsh to moan about it enough, tear up the rule book and start again.

LOL, Red bull moan and drip just as much to the FIA, I thought it was all 'part of the game' ?? Or am I missing something.. you sound a bit annoyed ! :)

I should imagine he knows a lot more about these kind of goings on than everyone else on here!

Not as such, but everyone has one teammate so at least it's fair. My issue is with Vettel effectively having three teammates who will move over for him, as I have been very clear on from the start.

"So what if Red Bull cheat? If the other teams don't like it, they should cheat too!"

Maybe I should go read the Malaysian GP thread again, where there was plenty of outrage when some assumed Ferrari told Sauber they could not overtake Alonso :D I bet Skeeter was not defending Ferrari against such claims though ;)

As for the rules....

13.7 If in the opinion of the F1 Commission a competitor fails to operate his team in a manner
compatible with the standards of the Championship or in any way brings the Championship
into disrepute, the FIA may exclude such competitor from the Championship forthwith.

I would think this one could cover Torro Rosso being lapdogs for Red Bull.

Saubers always move out of the way for ferrari or dont race hard.

no one complained in 97 at suzuka when hill purposely held schumacher up for over a lap when he was being shown blue flags.

I'm sure no one would complain if the HRT drivers held redbull up but let mclaren past either.

But as its RBR they are automaticly given benneton/ferrari status as cheaters and they cant do anything right

Yeah and people said I was wrong with him playing up to this personality.

$$$$$$

Click the link in Skeeters post utajoker. Not that I blame him for making more money, just the falseness of it all.
