Rosberg is not the better driver and he knows it but he did enough to capitalise on Hamilitons misfortune and errors and sometimes thats all you can do. Leicester won the PL last season due to the better teams having poor seasons. That doesn't mean what they did was any less impressive.

If my math is correct under the old points system they both would've finished on 136pts? Hamilton would've been crowned champion on race wins (10-9).

136 HAM
136 ROS

The new points system rewards consistency too much.

Lol, at Paddy Lowe trying to make out that Lewis perhaps couldn't go faster. You just gave him ****** orders and he was never going to obey them. Nor should he have. Absolutely ridiculous that they got involved at all, let alone the number of people they had try to order Hamilton to ruin any chances he had.

You have to give credit to Nico, like him or not. It takes a lot of nerve, skill, precision and stamina to come out as a world champion in this sport.

Not really, he's had enough practice in by far the best car on the grid. Every world champion wobbles on the way to their first title but few get as many years in out right the best car on the grid for 3 or 4 years, probably next year too.

He did what he had to and I think he played that right but the car is head a shoulders above the rest. There really is little pressure when all you have to do is come 2nd when it's damn unlikely the rest can split you.

The cars are also so damn easy to drive. More than ever before this sport needs a complete overhaul.

Not really the same. Lewis has no control over his car suffering manufacturing defects/failures.

Won less races. Won less podiums....

And?

He didn't get the points though did he, Nico did.

Agree 100% with this.

Neither Nico or Hamilton are touchable by any other team, they just beat them easily. Ocon could win a championship in the Mercedes.

You praise Button all the time instead.

Today again a mistake cost him the race.

I can't remember who it was that said Button was better than Kimi, but I'd say they have been equally poor since the WDC wins.

Rosberg might not have settled for 2nds had he needed to push. He might have pushed harder and Lewis might have broken his car more ;)

Rosberg pushed as hard as he needed to.

As much as I would have preferred to see Hamilton win, this is irrelevant nonsense.

Hamilton had more failures so couldnt score as many points, that's the nature of the sport, it has never been 'best driver wins' anyway, it's generally best car wins and you just have to hope you're the quicker / luckier of the two drivers who happen to be in that car.

It's bizarre, over the last couple of seasons personally I think he's matured hugely over his first few years in the sport. Yet still gets called childish. Kimi makes some narky radio comments it's funny..

It was round about the same time he bagged the second wdc. I guess haters are goner hate though so meh? :)
