You praise Button all the time instead.

Today again a mistake cost him the race.

I can't remember who it was that said Button was better than Kimi, but I'd say they have been equally poor since the WDC wins.

I don't praise button often at all. You have the wrong person. I would disagree that Button hasn't drove well though, much better than kimi has, especially against good quality team mates. He drove very well when lewis was his team mate and had some good wins.

Not really, he's had enough practice in by far the best car on the grid. Every world champion wobbles on the way to their first title but few get as many years in out right the best car on the grid for 3 or 4 years, probably next year too.

He did what he had to and I think he played that right but the car is head a shoulders above the rest. There really is little pressure when all you have to do is come 2nd when it's damn unlikely the rest can split you.

The cars are also so damn easy to drive. More than ever before this sport needs a complete overhaul.

I could argue that applies to Lewis too. There are other world champions on the grid that don't stand a chance simply because they don't have Lewis' car. Both Lewis and Nico have been blessed to be in a team with the best cars.

Rosberg drove a consistent season - It wasn't one full of flair and mad overtakes but honestly, when was the last time we saw a season like that? There were times when he had the upper hand on Hamilton and vice versa.

At the end of the day he scored more points, how else do you define who 'deserves' it more? Did he suffer less mechanically - yes - I don't think you can deny that. But if you want to watch a sport where the only thing that matters is an individuals performance, then Motorsport is not for you..

Equally, you can't exactly blame Hamilton for not jumping for joy - he's still missed out on a WDC and that'll hurt regardless of what the odds of him winning it were before the race.

As much as I would have preferred to see Hamilton win, this is irrelevant nonsense.

Hamilton had more failures so couldnt score as many points, that's the nature of the sport, it has never been 'best driver wins' anyway, it's generally best car wins and you just have to hope you're the quicker / luckier of the two drivers who happen to be in that car.

Its not irrelevant nonsense it's fact. He won more races and more podiums. Also won the most engine failures. You sir need to I distinguish the difference between a fact and opinion

Factual but still irrelevant nonsense.

The championship is decided by points total, not number of wins, number of podiums, number of poles, qualifying record or any other irrelevant metric that Hamilton bettered Rosberg in.

The fact is, Rosberg scored more points this season and is the world champion, and that's the only fact that matters.

The only opinion floating about is the opinion people have that Rosberg is undeserving.

Arguably no driver is truly 'deserving' because so much of the performance is derived from the car rather than the driver, the most 'deserving' drivers are finishing all over the table because their car happens to be crap.

It's bizarre, over the last couple of seasons personally I think he's matured hugely over his first few years in the sport. Yet still gets called childish. Kimi makes some narky radio comments it's funny..

Hamilton is one of my favourite drivers on the grid. He's racy, he's very, very quick, and at his best he's a joy to watch. When he wins there is never any doubt he is one of the best on the track. But he also has a petulant, childish, streak that comes out from time to time and it ain't pretty, and a reckless tendency to ruin his race by getting hot headed if things go against him at the start. I think you're probably right that he's matured a lot but I still see it in him.
